How to do electrics consistenly?
I play on a pad, I have a pad from ps4 and another with a mechanical dpad, but on both of them I get electrics once in a while, very inconsistent, although I press literally the same thing and the reception can both get and not, what is the reason? If to analyze the technique in detail, HOW can I play on a pad and get this technique all the time? What should be the sequence of presses? Does it have to be precise or fast? I know it's easier on a hitbox (probably on an arcade stick too), but what about regular people?

Wow, that is actually amazing, I did not know about the trick with 2+3 instead of doing it legit with the 2 button .

I have tried right now in training mode and it makes doing electrics A LOT easier on pad, on par with arcade stick.

It seems like double buttons inputs make just frames moves clearly easier, like with Lee when doing the b1, 1+2 perfec frame move, you can just do b1+2, 1+2 instead to make it trivial.

Hmmm, thank you very much for showing this video, this trick of using 2+3 is a game changer for people who want to play Mishimas on a pad. I was unaware of this method.

The drawback that I can see is if you miss, it could by mistake engage heat.

I once did 12 perfect electrics in a row. The next day I could do 1 perfect electric every 20 or so WGF. Takes time and finding the feel.

Note: Im a tekken noob lol but Ive been playing pvp games for 10 years and can semi -wavedash on pad

Im happy you improved your electrics :)

On pad it's almost impossible. The only option will be to use 2+3 on LB button, and press everything with left hand(it's easier than both hands), and you must press it very fast. But even then, it's still 50/50 in matches. To do electrics consistently you need stick.
I always used pads in fighting games, so Mishima's not for me, even tho i can do 2 out of 3 electrics.

This information is wrong and based on nothing, it is in fact EASIER to do electrics on pad then it is on stick.

The reason you're having problems is because it's a just frame and it's hard to do. you have a single frame, 1 60th of a second to hit the downforward and the punch at the same time.

You need to practise, that's literally it.

Your statement is just as unfounded. this is a purely subjective thing. I find doing them way easier on stick than pad and as a bonus I can play a mishima for much longer on stick than on pad before getting sore thumbs.

now I play the keyboard after a certain number of hours. I saw videos like this a long time ago, for me these tips don't work at all, even when I was playing on gamepad, doing EWGF with one hand seems crazy stupid to me, I did exactly 0 EWGF with this method. But thanks for trying to help, I really appreciate it

No worries. Hopefully you will master them sooner or later. You just need to find the best way to do them in your way

Don't let anyone tell you what's possible and not possible. With enough practice you can do anything consistently on any controller. See what feels comfortable and easy for you, no need to pick up stick and unlearn all that muscle memory you've currently build up learning the game with a controller (presumably) and re learn the game from scratch. I am personally using an Xbox One controller

Specifically:
https://www.amazon.com/Xbox-Wireless-Controller-Daystrike-Special-Windows/dp/B08ZNJBQKQ

That being said here are some tips to get you started:

  • What the previous people said is good advice, think about pressing 2 before pressing down due to brain latency (or something idk just works) this will give you the correct timing.
  • Do not grip your controller tightly, id suggest holding the controller more firmly in your right hand rather than your left, this gives your left hand more easy movement as well as not having to press hard on the buttons.
  • Don't jerk the controller, this goes back to the previous point, but if you jerk the controller or try to substitute precision with speed you will most likely end up creating a lot of unnecessary movement and inaccuracies.
  • It's not about speed, but precision, you can speed it up after youve learned the basic movement but it's not a requirement as long as your character doesn't do the crouch-dash movement you can always get an electric, if the character crouches/dashes with the down forward movement it's too late to do an electric, if youre getting a down 2 input or similar it means youre pressing 2 way too fast.
  • I personally use the outer front part of my thumb to caress the forward and downright direction, staying on the outskirt of the Dpad ( the middle front part of your thumb is touching the wheel of the DPAD *if applicable*), I found it gives more precise inputs
Good luck!

**EDIT**
And of course when you get consistant, you can ramp up the speed a bit

Hey OP, what I learned to do is adjust your timing of the 2 by trying to hit at the same time as D instead of the DF. Shoot for F, D+2, DF. My guess is you're like me and a split second too late on the punch. I compensate for the delayed 2 by hitting it earlier in the input. That works for me. Give it a shot.
It’s fairly easy to electric on pad with an Xbox controller since they’re all connected
Speed for an electric is not required. But I would say the best Mishima to learn electrics on is Kazuya.

Kazuya has mist step when inputting :TEKKEN8_Joystick6:

During mist step kazuya does alittle dash/ step, during that animation you can press:TEKKEN8_Joystick3::TEKKEN8_RPButton: or:TEKKEN8_Joystick2::TEKKEN8_Joystick3::TEKKEN8_RPButton:

D,df,2 is harder on pad, but the use of mist step will allow you to get a feel for ewgf, speed comes with good technique, get the motion down speed will follow.

Also on the topic of speed if you get to a point where this method becomes to easy switch to mishimas like devil jin, jin or heihachi, these mishimas lack mist step and require faster, more accurate inputting of ewgf; or in other words they cant delay there electrics.

Reina is like kazuya she also has a mist step but its less apparent compared to kazuya.

And remember df,2 must be pressed at the same time, its a just frame.

Hope this helps.

Unfortunately, by this point in time I had basically already abandoned Tekken, and when I was playing I abandoned all the mishimas and went to my favorite hwoarang, but thanks for the advice, if I ever come back to mishimas, I will try to train electrics on kazuya

Wrong? I can do it on stick without any problem and consistently. The problem is that i don't like to play with stick. It's your information pure nonsense. Show me 100% electrics on pad in 10 matches Mr. who can bla bla only

I admit there are 2-3 guys who can do it, which is why I wrote that it's "almost" impossible. But you're obviously not one of them.
you're just bad honestly lmao
