The game doesn't run smoothly
Hello, my game looks very laggy, im feeling that it performs in 30-50 FPS constantly like it was locked on this number but Steam FPS counter and Ingame says its 60. Its clearly not 60 compared to other games (Elden Ring for example that runs very smooth for me), my movement feels very laggy and i cant really enjoy the game. Lowing graphics setting doesnt help at all.

Sometimes when i set in my AMD aplication 60 FPS limitation or forcing V-Sync it works perfectly good and smooth in 60 FPS but in a few matches game starts being laggy again.

My PC is new, all other games works perfectly fine.
My specs:

RX 6600
Ryzen 5 5600
16 GB RAM

If you’re using an AMD GPU make sure anti lag is off

If you have a free sync monitor turn off vsync

disable vsync and lock fps with rivatuner, makes it much better for me, you can also use MSI afterburner with rivatuner to check the framegrapha and make sure it's mostly flat.

Game fps is locked in game, you don’t need to force a fps lock through the gpu control panel

the ingame lock is worse and gives you bad frametimes (checked with the graph)

While the graphics are new gen, most of the animations are from Tekken 7, adding the fact that the game have stuttering during the K.O, traversal stages and some due to Network even on a RTX 4090.

Dumb question, have you tried lowering settings as you’ve got a budget 1080p card

I’m asking him a genuine question. I don’t know what settings he’s trying to play at

Sorry did not see the bit where you mentioned you tried lowering settings

Depending on your configuration, vsync caps FPS at your monitor refresh rate (might be > 60 FPS) while Tekken is capped at 60 FPS during fights (but not in menus). Forced cap makes sense unless you want the GPU spitting out > 100 fps while sitting in menus. Just saying. :)

When you have vsync enabled, is also tripple buffer enabled in your driver settings? I don't know where this is for AMD cards. Otherwise vsync can only display fixed refresh rates like 60, 45, 30 and so on.

In ingame settings, Did you try the different upscale methods? TSR for example gives me much worse FPS than all others. I can run TAUU @ 100% resolution smoothly. During opening scenes of a match, sometimes FPS dip below 60 but during the actual match there is no lag/frame drop.

Yes, as i stated in main post - lowering ingame graphics does nothing either.

Update about V-sync etc.: i turned off v-synk and freesync on my monitor and maxed my FPS at 60 in AMD aplication, game works good for now, very smooth. But it worked fine sometimes and im almost sure that when i will turn on my PC and open T8 tomorrow it will be laggy again. For some reason this problem just returning back over and over after im trying to fix it.

You only have 16gbs of ram. When you play make sure other intensive applications are turned off. Don’t leave things like streams running on a second monitor or stuff like that, all these sort of things can tank your frames. Tekken 8 is rather ram intensive

It makes no sense why it works one day and not the other unless you are doing something else in the background on your computer

Thats very interesting chunk of information, sounds like source of my problems, ill try to research and try different setting then.

Good luck, although my information regarding vsync is only really valid if you are on a monitor with fixed refresh rate. For gsync/freesync this should not be the issue. But worth checking anyway, somethings things are just messy.
