Please fix the Polaris crash
I had 3 so far. 2 offline on Yakushima stage and one for my second online match on the Coliseum. Each time just when a round is starting, after the "FIGHT".

And one black screen + fatal error after the match vs the CPU to gauge your online rank position.

I second that just for the sake of it. Polaris crash makes it unplayble for me.
What gpu you using?

And now after the patch I get an "InitializeSequence Error 3" when I try to launch the game...

Terrific!

EDIT: No error on my second try.

3080ti and since day 1 this game isn't playable the only game that crashes my entire PC and I've tried every possible fix in existence:
Drivers are up to date
Overclocking on and off
Windows 8 compatibility mode
Ran as admin
Lowest settings possible
Windowed and fullscreen

Just turns my PC off I can play any other game just fine, kinda frustrating they aren't even acknowledging this issue yet

1080

1000 cards have terrible DX12 support and don’t really mix with well with a modern dx12 engine like UE5

Personally I think they need to update the specs on the store page and recommend a 2000 cards as a minimum requirement. A 1050ti as a ‘minimum’ is absolute BS and a lie in my books

Ideally your pc should at least be in parity with a PS5 and that’s more powerful than a 1080. It’s time to upgrade because things are only going to get worse with newer games

Bogus. I'm on a 1080ti and the game runs flawlessly on ultra settings. Not that hard to hit 60 FPS in a fighting game even on somewhat older cards.

They do need to hurry up and fix the crashing though. It's such a widespread issue there's no way they aren't working on it. Possibly some kind of memory leak given the wide range of hardware this error is occurring on.

it's not a GPU issue from what I've seen, it seems to be caused by other instabilities.

There is more to gpus then raw horse power

Yes the 1080ti was a beast but it’s not 2017 anymore. Today it’s a 1080p card at best for demanding open world games so that card is showing its age

Companies like nvidia are not going to prioritise driver support for 7 year old gpus, they want you to upgrade. They’re not going to implement new tech like dlss into older cards because once again, they want you to upgrade

That’s how it works I’m afraid. Terrible DX12 support for 1000 cards? Well that’s all part of the plan. Sorry it just is what it is. If you’re using a 7+ year old gpu, nvidia doesn’t care about you

I am on a 1080 Ti as well and I understand that it is now approaching its end of service. As I am not a developer, I cannot tell whether you are right or wrong concerning dx12 specifics on 10xx cards. However I read so many threads about the Polaris crash and people with much newer GPUs (40xx and newer AMDs) also have the crash. Also, it is the first game for me that throws this error. So i think there might be more to the story than just blame an older GPU.

I do not expect to get prioritized, but as long as we meet the miminum specs (game runs at 60 fps at maximum settings at wqhd btw), we can expect a fix eventually.

Setting launch options to "-W" fixed it for me

Seriously? How long were you able to play now without crash? What does -w do? Windowed?
Thanks.

I have a 4070 and have experienced zero crashes

A lot of the Polaris fixes I’ve seen involve forcing DX-11 on the steam launch options. A strong indication that this is a driver gpu issue with dx12

Yeah, I think this as well. I mean, Tekken 8 is not the only UE game where this error occurs. It is only a bit suspicious that for this game so many people are affected (not only with older GPUs, also AMD users). So might as well be a Nvidia/AMD thing to fix in combination of Tekkens way to utilize dx12/UE. But seriously, I have no clue.

I will for sure do a clean installation of my Nvidia drivers once a new one drops (at 551.23 for now).
