If you want Male Fundamental char go for something like Bryan atm.
Every single other char plays Tekken in their "own way" or has panic moves out of ass for evasion etc.
Yes he can deathfist for a million damage but everyone knows what he's about and your 50/50 is the most direct high vs low.
Honest characters in general will force you to learn the game mechanics since you can't just rely on knowledge checks or some OP moves.
If you want the (possibly)hardest character with no panic moves that would be Kazuya.
Would playing a newcomer character be a good idea also possibly?

Alisa is super fun and can be quite the basic character.
Plus, she's got the only move in the game that tells "good game" to the opponent.
