lmao yeah ok, and when they're not spammy braindead children, and know how to mix up? I either duck and get rocked by strings that finish in grabs, block and get 50/50d by a 2 hour grab cutscene, or keep distance and HOPE I can poke him which is just so ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ boring and rarely works.
and try atack her legs
Just memorize this chart lmao
.... Okay that was facetious. There are some rules that can help you mitigate King's "death by chain throw". These won't work so well at higher levels of play as King players can vary the way they do throws and execute quickly enough that the movement inputs aren't as obvious to you. For intermediate levels of King, this is what I've found helpful:
If you didn't happen to break the first throw, you'll have time during the animation to identify what it is - and there are only three to remember:
If he pushed you to the ground and broke your leg, mash 1+2. This breaks King's Bridge, which is the most damaging outcome of that chain. It is overwhelmingly likely that if the King started this chain, it's because he wanted to do King's Bridge.
If he broke your arm, mash 1+2. This breaks Rolling Death Cradle - same logic applies as leg break.
If he did some sorta suplex thing which leads into the incredibly long chain, mash 1. The super secret King tech that they all use is that if you bind a shoulder button to ki charge you can just mash it and it will always execute the same throw chain. The chain that comes out with this method is broken with 1 mash.
This isn't an ideal solution of course since skilled Kings will adjust and learn other chains, but this little rule of thumb is the one that requires least effort and works well enough for me.
You supposed to read him, just like any other fighter
this is literally my first time playing fighting games and im purple ranks already.
