How do i beat mashing?

What happens every match, they mash, i try to counter but then I get countered for trying to mash there mash, and if i just stand there and block, they do a low and deletes 50% of my hp, or grab, how do i counter this ♥♥♥♥?

Doing down jab works against string spammers, most of the time.

If you're new, mash, sure. Enjoy and play your character. This applies to the same in Tekken 7, but it's a lot easier for newer players now. Eventually, when you become an intermediate, you'll realize how and when to hold block. Blocking is a skill, yeah. But, its an intermediate skill. If you want to get good as beginner, hone in on your offense first. And then, your defense through specific things.

You can also, just learn to play Jin if you want to try to learn fundamentals. He's actually a pretty good beginner pick now, and if you want a more masher-friendly character, there are plenty too. Some suggestions are like King, Dragunov, Victor, but any character will do. Especially in the beginner ranks. Also, have fun.

learn frame data, learn when to duck and launch, learn to low parry and side step strings, etc.

Find your good lows, go under their jabs. Moves like Lee's Silver Low for example can slide under a lot of stuff
Block and do your 1,2 string.
Learn to grab break, also learn to mix up your own grabs so they can't break yours.

If they launch you, especially at lower levels don't wake up right away.
Roll or use a prone kick against them.

Force them to approach you and then intercept them with your farthest reaching moves.

Generic moves and checks jab df1 12f mid if you have any usually it is df4 generic low pokes so d4 and d3 keeping cool and using quick ch moves 11~13f fast

Pretty much this to be honest. Jab is the fastest move in the game. Won't work against EVERYTHING but if they're literally just going insane in your face, jabs can check them out.

Your fastest mid as well. Find a 13 frame mid if you have it.

Play more.

If you're beaten by mashing you're still a scrub. It can take a while to learn to deal with stuff.

For example:

- Block a lot. Then watch the replay, see the tipps and hit your begin training button. Block high by default, low on reaction or instinct.

- Go into training mode and learn about your moves properties like high, mid, low, is it + or - frames on block etc.

- Watch some guides on youtube helping with offense and defense. Don't skip on character specific things. That could also help with the previos point, as many character guides explain the most important moves for your character.

- Against a masher don't overthink things. They won't respect you, but just push buttons. Use that to your advantage. Learn your fastest attack for high, mid and low. Especially, highs and mids are very good to stop an offense of someone.

- Also, do the punishment training in the training mode if you struggle against a specific character.

- Play more.

I liked DOA for the fact that everyone had parry for every attack hight. So if someone was spamming it was easy to counter them. In Tekken figuring it out mid round is much harder especially if you don't have good movement as new player. Your best bet is blocking a lot and then going to reply and checking the suggestions/ trying things out.
