I think it's still better than old system. It was kinda silly you could rank up/down from single opponent by deathmatching them. It was sometimes too easy to rank up if your opponent used you as a practice tool and didn't mind losing 10 times in a row.

So just make the rank change stop after the first to three? Then I can at least choose if I want to have fun in the videogame I bought with my money

You should be able to take only one match before going back to match making to see what is your best match making opponent. But ELO match making here is sort of casual, a joke.
