Combos consist of:
Launcher > Middle part > Ender
Some enders allow you to extend your combo, basically by not sending your opponent 10 meters away lol OR by using Floor and wall breaks.
There is a lot more to Tekken than just combos though.
- Don't forget blocking, if you can't block, you may never get the chance to attack.
And once you block, you can "punish". there is a special section in Practice mode for "Punishing".
- The other thing to keep in mind is spacing or footwork. Always mind your distance, consider both your and your opponent's range. From this you can get "Whiff punish".
Whiff means a hit that has missed, and that is another chance for you to attack.
That is just very briefly.
jezz, people this days want to become a international pro player in 2 days, there's beauty in just being average and making new frens.
I basically lived in Infinite Azure in Tekken 7 XD (Also why I suck at wall combos).
In 8 I like Yakushima and Paris.
For now pick the side you're comfortable with.
When you play online, you can always pic your side.
Once you're comfortable and have muscle memory, you can practice on the other side, for the occasions you end up on the other side during battle.
Focus on outplaying your opponent.
It’s also great if you play Fighting games with a group of friends, because you will help each other improve. If not you just have to play online against other players.
I remember being told that back when I wanted to get better with Tekken 4, and I had no idea what it even means. But everyone said that.
Regardless I went ahead and downloaded the table for Xiaoyu and printed it out "I have to master this!!! Somehow..." I think I still have it somewhere XD
Ofc it is much easier now and available in-game, but it is not even properly explained. I think there are a lot of things that proceed that.
Like a good understating of game mechanics, movement and hit properties.
