Simultaneous buttons pressing
How do I actually press the buttons ? (lol)

The thing is that whenever I am trying to press 2 button simultaneously, the game is so strict that whenever I press one of the buttons just a TINY bit sooner, I mess up the combo because I won't do for example: f + 1 2, but only like f + 1 and after the game registers that I did f + 1, the game also registers either the f + 1 2 I wanted or just f + 2...

Am I gonna have to learn to press the buttons EXACTLY simultaneously at the very same moment or is there some kind of option or something to make it easier for me to press so the game registers that I want to press them at the same time ?

Because I am new to the game, it's actually quite hard to focus on pressing both of the buttons at the very same time while in the middle of doing some kind of combo.

It looks like this with command history toggled on: https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3153554331

There are bindings in game for this.

Options -> Controller setup.

Then you'll be able to say sat 1+4 to RT or something.

You should also set your RA to either an additional button or for me because I use pad I use right anologue stick, if I press the stick in it gives RA.

Makes some RA usage a bit more consistent.

I am using dualshock 4 controller and I have my 2 3 and 1 4 set to L1 and R1 because those 2 buttons are just impossible for me to press with my casual controller grip lol

Rage Art might be cool to have on R3 or L3, I currently have it on L2, but still... there is not enough buttons for all the 2 button combinations on the controller lol.

Same is happening with the movement buttons though, pressing u/f, d/f, u/b, d/b is just painful because it sometimes also registers as just one direction at first...

I don't really want to switch characters because of this, it's not really a solution for this you know...

I have all of Yoshimitsu's combo challenges cleared and it took a long time, not really because it's hard, but because I just can't force the game to do what I want lol, the game is doing what it wants.

Even when I am literally focusing on trying to press both buttons at the same time, it's like 50/50 that I will get the game to do what I actually want lol

try another controller i don't believe the game is doing what it wants its more likely that its doing what it receives from the controller.

It's also happening with keyboard tbh, probably not as much, but it happens with kb as well...

My hands are either too slow or too clumsy lol, I have never played any other fighting game before (except like 15 minutes of MK11 like 2 years ago) so it might be just that I am not used to such precise timings.

Learn button buffering ... it will save your life.

I cant hit certain buttons either here is my set up.

Face buttons 1-4

L2, 1+2. R2 3+4.
L1 1+4. R1, 2+3 (this is also universal heat button).
I don't bind heat because now R1 is always heat. Similarly i don't bind rage because its always down forward 1+2.

I personally can hit grabs but if you can't then maybe make R1 one of the grabs (1+3 or 2+4). You don't need both most of the time. Then use up forward 1+2 and that throw your mix up.

Then put heat on one of the sticks.

Ultimately whatever button combo you find the hardest then bind that one
If you hold 1 then press 2, the game registers it as a perfect 1+2 input. If you are fast at holding one, or it's the previous input anyway, you can prepare for the time you need 1+2.

Alternatively, bind shoulders like everyone else said.

Actually the only buttons combination in Tekken that require almost frame perfect input is 1+2 break.

All other button combination got SIGNIFICANTLY more consistent compared to Tekken 7. Like MASSIVELY more consistent. I enjoyed this change a lot.

The only thing we need now is fixing 1+2 throws, cause 2 frames is kinda too low when you need to react to sudden throw.

I just changed my 1 2 to L2 and 3 4 to R2 and it's delicious lol, if only the arrow keys were a bit more freein terms of the timing that would be awesome, I am still having trouble figuring out how to press for example u/f, d/f, etc.

In general, Tekken is very loyal to the player in pressing buttons. I understand you play with your thumb? Have you tried changing the grip of the controller? Use your index and middle fingers. That way you simply can't make the mistake of pressing two buttons at the same time. With six-button gamepads, it's even easier.

Yeah, I am using my thumb to press the attack buttons so I basically have to push right in between the triangle and square in order to press both of them at the same time and it's difficult sometimes lol

I have already used a solution I was told under this post to bind the 1 2 and 3 4 to one button so I did bind it to L2 and R2, but the movement buttons are still a problem.

Some people use the extra buttons instead of using the D-pad. They don't do it because they don't like the D-pad, they do it because it can be much more efficient.
I saw a youtube video where a guy completely changed the controls on his gamepad so he could use the Electric.

I don't really have enough space on my controller for all this stuff lol, I am glad I managed to somehow make space for the 1 2 and 3 4 combinations.

At the same time.
Qcf - slide finger from down to forward.
Hcf - slide finger from left to right through lower part of dpad.
