4K at 60 requires modern ports and cables to support since it needs to push more data than early HDMI's had. In those cases 4K runs at 30fps and that sounds like your are most likely running into
I'm not totally sure what all your situation is though. Same laptop same cables same TV? Desktop is running? Maybe it's just a performance difference with Linux
I did try that in game but the TV is still reporting 30fps.
There isn't a way to change the fresh rate in Tekken 8 graphic menu
also of note this game only support borderless or windowed only.
Here are the port specs:
HDMI 2.1
USB-C 4.0 with DisplayPort 1.4
Tried FSR 1.0 enabled and even tried FSR 2.0, Nothing bumped it to solid 60fps.
Shut down got into BIOS I changed the MUX switch to dedicated graphic in BIOS.
This gave me the solid 60 with TSR on mixtures of ultra and high.
I'll check again when I have access to 4KTV to see if it still does the 30hz again.
The only way to use 4K @ 120 or 144 (Which are the ones I have tested) is using DisplayPort. I have an Nvidia 4090 at https://www.youtube.com/@xtremelinux and the lasts tests using 4K are using 144 but ONLY with DisplayPort. If I got to the HDMI Cable it falls back to 60 as the only option for 4K.
For HDMI, you need HDMI 2.0 or above for 4K 60Hz.
