Simple mod — Will I get banned?

I saw this mod on nexus that changes the face button icons to colored ones instead of it being grayscale. I really like this idea! But I’m afraid I might get banned online.

Yes you will get banned and steam will send a police officer to your home for further questioning about your illegal activities :)

Visual mods dont lead to a ban, the majority of games support moding and Tekken is one of these games. If you play online your mod will not be visible to other players unless they have the same mod.
For example i have the mod of Nina's Death By Degrees make up because they finally make her look like the beautiful original Nina of T2-3, DBD.
(after 22 years Nina is finally beautiful and not an abomination)
If you use cheating mods like auto blocking and some others that exploit the game in gameplay, credits etc then you will get ban eventualy.

I'd sugges to turn off sending analitics data to Bandai Namco.
There is 2 agreements. One is EULA and we all need to agree.
Another one is sending your data, you can deny that. It can have mod installation.

Bandai Namco is much loose than Capcom. I don't like Capcom's policy that creating unattractive character based on political correct people, then don't allow mods.

In Teken 7, they banned many account including pro player who unlocked new DLC character illigaly. They may do similar thing on T8, but not sure yet.

u are safe to use mods, only if the game shows u a promp screen saying "u have archives that modifies the original files" or something like that, there will be no problem.

lots of people uses the SSR/SSL mod and no one is being banned for that

I just looked this up because I couldn't possibly believe someone would prefer the polygonal nightmare fuel of early tekken facial models. Honestly though the character design for death by degrees is pure trash. It looks like those extremely generic "pretty woman" mods for skyrim that lacks any kind of personality. I mean really these new designs are from a japanese video game that pushes sex to almost parody you really don't have to make this into some woke conspiracy.
