Can't punish
I must be doing something wrong because I can't punish even the most punishable move of the game, they just block it or even hit me before mine hits. On the other hand they just do every combo they want on me because they always can hit me faster even if I use just standing punch (that it's suppose to be one of the fastest moves).
Does anybody know what im missing here?

you're missing the frame data, you have a 10 frame punch and a 14 frame launcher, many moves that are considered "safe" are only -9 and skilled players will only use those for pressure and conditioning but anything they can get a combo off of is going to be at least -15 on block usually, though there are some exceptions

Stop. a block works when it does not block. this is sick. Tekken 7 works much better. If I want to block, I go in the opposite direction from the attack and I don't stand, I don't do anything with any button and the block works. after all, it makes no sense.
u basically have to buffer the input instantly after you block. Using the practice modes Punishment Training helped me a lot.

Some moves are safer than others. Learn which moves are plus for you and punish their slower attacks.

You need to learn the tekken blocking mechanics. There are guide videos on youtube but I only know ones in english.

punishing is harder in this game than before, I know this sometime the game doesn't buffer the input for you. or the buffer Windows is shorter.

I have to spam my punishing move and sometimes it's come out as wrong move

I hope they fix the button buffer system soon

Well, so what? it was an old version of the game, tekken 7 was the latest version before 8 and you had to think about what the predicter would do - whether I should move back to block the attack or move back and crouch to block the lower attack. now all you need to do is put your child in front of the screen and the game will automatically block the attacks. This is not how the blocking technique in the game should work...

then i low sweep you .. and yes it works the same in T7 if Hworrang does his aerial attack you still have to manually guard against it after the first neutral guarded hit just like T7.

I think I played Tekken and know how it works. I haven't played all the characters at once and I'm not the alpha and omega but some characters in the game don't work properly when attacking, when you want to attack from the bottom or from the top, do you understand that or not?

mids have always looked like highs sometimes, most cases its pretty visible what is a high vs what a mid is.

I meant attacking from below or above.
