Usually I hate that little jester lol but in this single instance each jester is just confirmation about my point regarding a few min of effort just being too much of an ask for some people.. i gave away like 75k points in December and I appreciate my march back to 200k, I'm almost there.

WiFi doesn't exist and we are all on 0.01ms between one another fat pipe connections of wonder so we don't need to worry about that crap. If someone told you there is a good chance (about a 70% chance actually) that they could eliminate a good chunk of system latency from your PC which in turn means more consistent frame times which means mo smoooooove looking/feeling games, less jutter or stutter, better input response and higher 1% low frame rates and that you could you could find out with a free app that you run for a few min... Would you be like nah bro that's dumb and you dumber for suggesting it! Get me some chocolate milk mom I'm in the match lobby!

I have a 7950x3d and 4090 and i did a fresh Win11 install recently then I checked. There was a noticable improvement especially in horizon forbidden west and dragons dogma 2, my 1% lows were raised by 19% & 36% higher values in those games respectively. 5 min to see what's what and another 5 maybe 10 to change some things not in nvcp .... Oh the horror lol.

If you play on steam deck it says you're on a wired connection even though it's wifi 😂 had to stop using it cause of cloud data corrupting the save files

Wifi is radio signal froma antenna and it has to compete with walls cars planes and weather microwaves your front door the solar flares .. and it drops inputs

It does not matter if you have 4 5 6 + G

It does not matter if you have a billion dollars or are bill gates

if you have wifi it drops on occasion

you can have a T1 t2 line of data .. if its wifi

Its not good for gaming

The one single time that the game offered me „no contest” option was against a WiFi player.
If WiFi wasn’t any different then games wouldn’t warn you about WiFi players and WiFi wouldn’t be banned from many online tournaments. It wouldn’t also randomly act like a lag switch.

But everyone makes their own choice and everybody has their right to use whatever connection they like. Same as I have the right to decline WiFi players.

You wouldn't and not all wifi connections are bad. I'm wired but on WiFi I have an avg of 26ms of latency which is better than most people on Ethernet. On Ethernet I have an avg of 11ms. Phat pipe!

you do know that latency has got ♥♥♥♥ all to do with it right? it's dropped packets that is the issue...................

I asked about ping checks..

Cause the whole 1ms ping 300MB download 50MB upload, where suddenly Ping JUMPING to three digits ... keeps me from investing 200$+ into wifi trash..
