curious about controllers vs keyboard for playing

I play all games with keyboard and mouse. Games like steep had terrible mouse and keyboard support, but I made it work. I understand Tekken is played with an arcade joystick as the pros do, or a controller for most casuals. But I am hard pressed on the keyboard.

Is it possible? How difficult is it?

yeah you can play with keyboard, lots of people do. Pro's don't play with arcade stick because it is easier or makes them better, they play with it because that is how they learnt to play the game.

Play with what you are comfortable with.

last tekken i played was t3
35 hours total so far on keyboard t8 + demo and im having a good time
keys feel very responsive

as a new player i have no real frame of reference to measure the difficulty

but so far no real issue
backdash spam is bit weird but not a real problem at this point

i play on awsd keys and numpad 12 45 for punches / kicks
