Game to play offline?
I don’t really like online fights, since my ping is usually high in them. Does it make sense to buy a game if you limit yourself to offline functions? Or is the game designed exclusively for online play? (like in MK1).

Well, besides online you can do Arcade quest, arcade mode, ghost battles, customize your characters, story mode, and episode mode. Do I think that alone is worth $70? I don't really know. It's really up to whether or not you can really have fun with that stuff.

Can these modes be played offline?

What is mentioned above and yes those are all offline. Story is way better this time around and episodes are nicer than T7 being they are longer with 5 fight rounds each for 32 characters. You also have some secrets hidden in arcade battle that you can find in Steam guides. Had about 14 hours offline before reaching story mode.
Understood, thanks.

if you want a fighting game to play offline and grind, sf6 might be better, in this campign is like 3 hours, character endings maybe 4 hours, arcade quest is like 4 hours, and then you are pretty much done.

SF6 you can play world tour mode for maybe 60/70 hours

Except world tour mode is boring af.

get T8 Go download the top two ghosts for every top player per character and play super ghost mode. I did this today and it's very interesting (as long as you ignore the Console boosters)

Jods nina ghost is entertaining to fight. you can have relatively decent matches against the AI in this game cause of this feature pretty much the only fighting game ever where it's actually fun to fight the AI.

if your just playing offline wait for a big sale the singleplayer content doesnt justify the 70$

I wouldn’t buy the game for single player only but I would definitely buy it to play player vs player offline.

For Solo
+Play Story mode
the usual tailored Tekken story mode experience
+play Arcade story mode
create avatar and play single player story of you joining arcades and climbing ranks
+play against Ghosts
you can copy ghosts of other players through Replays and online mode.
+Arcade classic mode
endless matches and climb through ranks

I play fighting games offline a lot and T8 is easily the best offline fighting game I have played with. SF6 really raised the bar for offline play and I feel that T8 has overtaken SF6 in that regard.

In my region the game costs 45$.

Check keystores to buy the game.
I bought it for 46 even before release.

Contentwise i would say it's ok to buy for singleplayer.
What it lacks is the actual quality.
2 examples:
• unlike every other Tekken game so far there is an actual basic VS CPU mode and even a CPU VS CPU mode. But those modes are nonsense as the cpu difficulty is very very easy.
• There are many costumization outfits available, but it's pretty much the same we already had in previous titles, and additional it's almost the same for every char + 20 shirts with 20 different logos are NOT 20 shirts, it's just one shirt with 20 logos.
those points are important for me and reduce worth of the game.
If those points are important for you is up to you :-)

the best singleplayer beat'm up for me is SC6

Yes
Unless you are very demanding. I played Tekken 6 on psp for years and had fun. You can also "train in isolation" to then surprise your friends or join some tournament.
