That's neutral blocking, however you shouldn't rely on it, as strings bypass it and need to be blocked by holding back.
Some attacks will hit you if you not pressing back
Don't listen to that advice unless you want to die. Hold back always. Neutral block is a noob trap you will get hit.
not always, holding back locks you in place, you also have low guard released into a mid for fuzzy as well as rolling into neutral guard.
heat you have to guard manually against, same if you hit your back into the wall while standing.
That is also in T7 It just easier in T8 cause the fall speed is reduced and the visuals are better translated differently to what is going on and when.

but when i press back, i got clipped by his 3rd or 4th hit ...... i was like what the opposite of heaven!?
i checked the replay, it show me just pressing back
but as i didnt press anything other than back once, it should block for me no matter the connection, right?
