This game rewards aggresive button mashers

I'm not an expert but I know what I say. Even Arslan Ash admitted that this game's aggresiveness has to be nerfed. I know what to do against some situations but because the game is fast and aggresive, your options are now more limited than ever. I hate SF because when you're cornered you have like 4 options: block, jump, grab or punish. Unfortunately, T8 has become somewhat the same, something previous games have never been. We had side stepping, blocking, grabbing, power crushing, rage art, rage drive, punish... nothing works now because button mashers just get rewarded for aggresive play. Everything is safe, everything connects and if you block, you get penalized for it. WTF is this?

It's impossible that I'm side stepping and everything has tracking, even vertical slices like this stupid character. It's simply not possible to have 90% of the roster to have easy and cheap tracking attacks attached to the heat system. Now even blocking is not allowed. What's next?

Yikes. Even if I don't know Victor, that 1st round was completely your fault. He caught you mashing and then used an evasive maneuver, then he counter-hit traded you after you were mashing after you whiffed legend kick. Then you completely whiffed heat drive, but then he activated his and used his heat smash..

Seems like a legitmate win on his part and a very messy one.. This is not the type of video you would share if you're trying to convince someone that the game is about aggression...when you were the one caught with your pants off.

You literally have no idea what you're talking about. There's SO many ways to punish mashing that it's impossible to NOT stumble over them if you just do a basic button check unless your brain melted out in grade school from eating all that paste....

Law's 3+4 as a whiff punisher is still there. It is no longer a launcher- But it does pretty good damage and leaves the opponent grounded.

You don't realize, that's Tekken. He made a comeback. It happens frequently if you're not careful, just like you were there. Yoshimitsu has that same move that launches from air, and I believe other characters do too. And getting counter-hit after mashing is grounds for getting yourself killed. That's basic Tekken fundamentals and has nothing to do with "lifelead on Victor". If you were careful and didn't mash after whiffs and pressed with more calculated precision, you wouldn't have gotten hit by that. Even Paul has that fb2 and so does Leo and Dragunov. To say that it's because he's Victor with a sword, gun, laser does not apply here. Because those things would get you killed with any other character as well.

life lead doesn't mean anything in tekken 8. the only part of the health bar that means anything is when they're in rage. thats just how like 50% of matches ago. but that benefits everyone fairly equally
