Yes, that's why T7 sold almost 11 mil copies, leaving all other fighting games (and many AAA titles) except MK in the dust. Your brain must be smoother, than a bowling ball, I'm surprised you're literate.
Ya, I have played (and own) every SNK fighting game made and I don't think any of them are as bad as T8. SNK and Capcom are still the kings in my book because all their games, regardless of how many "special moves" and "combos" they contain, still have solid core fighting mechanics. Oh well, to each their own...
Just because something sells well, doesn't necessarily mean it's good. It means it's popular. Or it means, by the time people realized it was bad, the company already had their money.
And how many people play Fortnite? We're all wasting our time on fighting games I guess according to you. Not to mention, regardless of how mentally stunted Harada is, I don't suggest you just take whatever gets put in front of you like he wants everyone to. Without criticism, every game ends up more and more like each other in an attempt to figure out what sells bests.
I wasn't going to buy T8, but I had fun with the demo and i'm having fun with it now, but seriously, its got flaws, most of all trying to be like other fighting games when it doesn't need to.
Just like Fortnite making every FPS turning into a Circus or a Costume Party, more than being "inspired" by other fighting games, the Heat system is just them detaching the rage art from the rage system, but in a super clumsy way in trying to replicate the dash cancel mechanics in SF and Guilty Gear, while also acting as a bit of an install.
so which is it?
Unfortunately, your made-up statistics don't reflect the reality. You might be in the minority that do not like this game, and my condolences for that. I've played T7, too, and compared to T8, it's a no contest in the game-play mechanics for me. Surprisingly, if you played T7, you would know how truly ridiculous combos were in that game.
So..perhaps these new concepts of T8 are more difficult to grasp for you, or is simply a matter of taste. But, that doesn't mean sums up why everything is wrong with fighting games with today. You seem to not have any problems with other games with super moves, so it just doesn't add up when you say it's bad for Tekken 8. Also, take account that it is a 3D fighter.
Your experience is not universal. Tekken is not an easy game.
to me this thread feels like just another "im too old for gaming nowadays, everything became too complex, games back then which just had 20 moves per character were much better"
its so stupid how many people lack the self reflection to realize this themselves..
How are so many people always blaming everything but themselves, even when its objectively a skill issue?
also remember.. you can always go back to play the old games too.. im sure there are even a handful of people online to play those, but you wont because they are garbage
I don't know, who cares? What the ♥♥♥♥ are you even talking about? He said a game like Tekken will sell extremely poorly and I noted that T7 sold extremely well, which proves he's talking out of his ass, and now you're bringing out Fortnite for some reason? Funny you call Harada mentally stunted, when you're having problems with basic reading comprehension.
