I remember playing ranked on the very first day which was the 25th just after the official launch stream ended and I saw a dude that had already 40,000+ tekken prowess. Its probably all the people who got review copies aka the pros and shills

Yeah, the rank until yellow is free. You don't lose points. After that, hitting red is just playing a few matches after reaching orange, which isn't that difficult. The difference is, people are using some optimized combos now and are understanding the mechanics better compared to day 1 or 2.

Idk yet. Players are still ranking up, and new characters are still new. I would say red ranks right now feels like mid-high purple and sometimes worst or better(?). Players are getting accustomed to the new changes too, so there's a lot of variation in skill still.

However, orange ranks definitely feels like yellow-low purple ranks of T7 (sometimes worst or better). The ranks are still a toss up, because you'll get that occasional teal or yellow ranker that is probably blue-emperor. If they're like TGP/TGO, I've noticed they tend to normally have like a 25+ win streak; and if I had to be a betting man, would say they would most likely be like purple+ in T8 by now if they grinded lol.

Also, they'll abuse you to death if you don't know what's going on with their character. Like...Jun. I still have no idea what she does, but I don't care. Game is fun lmao.

My friend told me that Jun is way stronger now and should be nerfed. No wonder sLine is playing Jun rn instead of Asuka.

there are very high ranked Asuka players in the game, so if someone can't get there with Asuka, then they lack the skill.

whoever is ranking up fast deserves the rank he reached that fast, but don't worry everyone will reach a certain area of resistance and can't push through as fast, if pushed at all, it's just that everyone can win now the gap between good and bad players has been diminished significantly by the heat system, rage arts and armor moves. But through all of that a better player will always have more rank points overall.

The only people getting up to Purple/Blue ranks at this point are the ones who were Tekken God Omegas in Tekken 7. Essentially the .01% of the Tekken population who also play the game competitively.
