How is King still allowed to be so OP?
King is actually one of the most knowledge-checky character in this game. Guy has ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ twenty different grabs, "oh just lab them noob its easy XD" yeah good luck trying to put what you learned in game when some guy with 2000 hours on King pulls out everything in his movelist. Why should players have to check the lab (especially beginners) to know that King has a 1+2 break that looks like a 1 break, or that he has an unbreakable grab from running? (which is an actual 50/50 btw)

All actual guides are literally infographics that doesn't even make sense. The best way to learn him is to basically main him for 100 hours which isn't fun. Most characters in the game can be learned to play against just by playing against them a lot but not with this guy.

Also, grabs now track much better than in T7, so good luck trying to side step (or duck and eat a mid anyway)

It's actually the other way around, it's a 1 break that looks like a 1+2 break

You can check your replays where he does the funny stuff and see if you could have done anything about it, usually he has to have done something to get in and be able to grab. On paper everything looks busted but you don't need to beat every move, just the player

I play King and I eat a lot of damage when people just duck grabs. Grabs track pretty well, agreed and the counter-hit grabs are unbreakable, but ducking grabs still work.

ImGodAwful1979, try mixing those low grabs on those ducking bastards. Show them they cant hide from the hug hour!

Game gets in for him especially in tekken 8 neutral is way easier so his grabs are enforced

king isnt even op lmao,
i get my a** handed to me when i play king every single time i only one like 3 games as king,

imo every character is balanced but the delay of the input needs to be toned down alot because half the time i can press rage art heat or try to do any kicks they feel like they dont come out at all.

thats not with king but any heavy character

Imagine how things worked before everyone had internet/yt/twitch etc.

I cannot count how many times I think I'm being cheeky with a buffered Giant Swing off df 2, only for them to duck and launch me for trying.

King is not easy to play with. Just choose him and try online. There are good King players and they are very hard to beat .

He can be played even without his grabs that tells something
HomongUS Jan 29, 2024 @ 9:47am
Cause he's the KING not Pawn
If you think King is OP, wait till you meet a good Dragunov.
Stompnado Jan 29, 2024 @ 9:47am
lol watch my gif, to grab you they need to get close, that makes them predictable ,

you don't gotta worry about breaking the grabs when you can duck the grabs

the running tackle? shining wizard is a 1+2 break that looks like it.
Giant swing is the 1 break that looks like a 1+2, identical to shining wizard. They both actually have a slightly different 1+2 animation than normal 1+2 throws.

And ducking throws works until you eat a f3. King has scary mids
