Lazy pc port (incompetent devs or cheap devs)
So after almost 7 years, Tekken 8 devs for pc prove their incompetence or use very cheap team that has been assigned for the pc port, 3 main issues.

1.Performance
The game suffers from significant performance issue, involving stutter nd fps drops, this happens while your in character select screen nd ingame. The fps drops can be very aggresive nd often dont make sense in a fighting game, its very noticeable. Stutter is also major issue, regardless of game running 60fps, its never as smooth as MK11 60fps which looks significantly better in visual nd runs extremely smooth, huge concern here.

2. Visual
Tekken 8 devs, forces you to use multiple Upscale tech nd it has the worst kind of implementation of TAA, both greatly compromises the visual, regardless of 4k res it will always look bad because of forced TAA nd upscale tech, the game basically looks flat nd not crisp, its noicy nd blurry.

3. FPS
Tekken 8 devs are either incompetent or has a very weak team to get job done succesfully, T7 failed to allow for unlocked fps on pc, after 7 years they again fail to allow for unlocked fps in new Tekken release, they are basically refusing to put the required work to give pc players the ideal experience as it should.

As a tekken fan, I would not advice to buy the game currently, it needs allot fixing, the game currently looks bad compared to older fighting games nd T8 trailer reveal, but dont compromise visuals with your lazy graphics implementation that forces people to use stuff that they rather like to avoid (upscaler/TAA). T8 performance is a huge deal, the fps drops nd stutter massively impacts gameplay , the game is not optimum not even in the character select screen, also 60fps in T8 feels stuttery nd not smooth as actualy 60fps in MK11. FPS unlock is a no brainer on pc, just allow for it, if people have the hardware for it you should not restrict them to play the game at higher fps then 60, we are 7years ahead nd you still lock people to 60fps on pc, that needs a change.

It's not great but tekken 7 was way worse and I only played a little bit at the end of tekken 7's life span. But yeah, my pc if way overpowered for this game on paper, but when it comes to actual performance, it's very poor. Character picker screen is constantly lagging, beginning of match and end of match is very laggy. It's very annoying.

Not saying it excuses them having no unlocked framerate options, but you can use Tekken Overlay to get an unlocked framerate. It works great and I don't really want to play without it anymore, 60fps feels laggy AF and the huge layers of latency just adds to the overall level of frustration while playing. It even improves the netplay experience considerably.

I really don't get the whole 'everyone has to play at 60fps' thing that fighting game devs seem to insist on on the basis of 'no unfair advantages'. Already netcode makes that completely moot, it's like there are more serious things to be concerned about when netcode is this spotty and bad than whether someone is running at an interpolated higher framerate or not. And ppl can be playing on a Hitbox, Snackbox, Microbox, regular gamepad, stick, etc, so the whole 'unfair advantages' horse has left the barn completely, your opponent on a Hitbox/Snackbox already has an unfair advantage over a pad/stick player to begin with.

You can check the topics that were discussed here why it is 60 fps.

Nah, the port ain't that bad, netcode does have some problems, but other than that performance is okay, considering i can run the game on med settings on ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ that is GTX1650 with only minor fps drops(and even then, those are during rage arts or floor/balcony breaks)
Also, 60 fps is normal for fighting games, there's no reason here to unlock fps.

It is totally fine on my RTX2080Ti system with 4K 60fps and 120Hz Vsync off.
It requires 4K for PS5 spec as PS4 dropped. But 1080p would not need so much.
GTX1080 is system is also working fine.

If you complain performance, you should list your hardware that you having the issues.

The fps drop before the game is fine as it is prerendering to not having FPS drop in battle. DOA6 seems not do the optimization, then no fps drop before match but fps drop on poor system in battle. I much prefer prerendering optimization.

And if you believe the issues, you should file bug report with detail hardware info to Bandai Namco.

Either you have a potato computer or you're trying to bait, saying it looks worse than older fighting games is objectively wrong.

Fighting games run at 60 fps for a reason, stop typing nonsense about things you know nothing about

Game runs perfect for me at 1440p dlss quality. Game is f*cking beautiful.

I never drop below 60 fps, but there are some weird issues with the game. Online I see skipped frames from time to time with people jittering all over(on 5 bar wired connection). Sometimes when you hit someone who is blocking it looks like it skips frames and they just teleport backwards a certain distance. There is something strange going on that isn't linked to FPS. I thought maybe it was the netcode, but I see it even in practice on occasion. It just looks like it skips frames sometimes. Kind of makes me nauseous to play it against opponents who dash and sidesteps a lot. Could be some weird ultrawide issue too since I am on an ultrawide monitor.

Game is good, but there is something going on with that.

From what I've been reading the only people that seem to be having major issues, are the NV 30\40 series users and intel 13\14th gen users. Everyone else not so much of any issues.
