PS5 vs RTX 3070 + i7-10700KF
Howdy! I'm planning on grabbing this game but I'm debating versions and this gen PC titles seem to constantly have issues.

I tried the demo on both my PC (RTX 3070 8GB) and my PS5. The PC version looked sharper when I switched to DLSS and I liked that I wouldn't have to worry about online play when my PS+ lapses. I did however notice some minor slowdowns when switching characters and loading times were longer (even though I'm playing on an SSD). Those aren't a big deal for me but I don't want to discover there are more serious issues in the full version.

Thoughts? Prayers?

I've got a 3070ti and the only issue was the character intos were lagging, switching upscaling to balanced fixed it though.

I don't want this to sound biased but it's best if you go with PC for sure. You'll have sharper image quality and faster responsive gameplay. PS5 optimal 58ms delay, PC around 42ms. Both very good for fighting games like these. You'll have more choices with optimization as well. I have a 3060 and with the game always running at 60 fps, I can easily run ultra graphics with no issues. The game is pretty well optimized.

I say this now DO NOT buy the game, it is the all time WORSE Tekken game, and it is a bad game in general. If you want to play a fighting game were you actually feel you are not doing much or not feel any sense of achievement by all means buy it. If you want a fighting game were you actually feel like you are achieving something then get a Tekken game before 7. Last 2 entries of this series are terrible.

Disagree.
- FPS drops during the battle on some arenas.
- FPS drops in the battle hub.
- Story mode…omg…is fps drops mess, especially after the 6th episode.

I have I9-14900K, DDR5 5600, RTX 4090, 4th gen ssd and well optimized windows.

Ok...but that's not really the question I asked. The question was about technical performance. I see you need a place to vent over the general gameplay system but that's not the conversation we're having here.

I prefer PC most of the case.
When PS6 comes out, I think PS4 games will be abandand.
PS6 may support PS5 game, but PS7 is very questionable.

In the mean time you can upgrade your PC to PS6 or PS7 spec.

Huh, your PC is faster than mine but I have no issues?

My game never drops from 60 during battles, only weird thing is the in game fps counter says it's 59 fps and MSI afterburner says it's 60

14600K, DDR4 3600, RTX 4070ti, 4TB Samsung 990 pro

(game maxed out at 4K, TSR enabled)

PC. You won't regret it especially in the long run.

This, 10900KF, 4070TI; same problems, tons of FPS drops for no reasons with neither CPU or GPU under any load, story is particularly bad.
Sure I get a much cleaner picture then I would on a PS5 (that I don't have), and the normal fights seem fairly 60fps locked, but I'm still constantly worrying, replays sometimes slow down... Having just a brain dead locked 60 fps on console is just a better comfort at this point.

i have both.
PC will always look better.
But PS5 is convenient cuz you dont have to worry about optimising settings at all, just turn on and play, and also if you move and travel or somehow dont have your PC, then PS5 is more portable

Has anyone else been having random BIG framerate drops during the start of battles? I thought it was as shader compilation thing at first but it sometimes it occasionally happens when with stages and characters I've already loaded. Usually, it's a brief drop into the 20s, 30s, and 40s but I've even noticed brief drops into the single digits.

The frame rate always stabilizes once gameplay begins but I can see it being very annoying during story mode and arcade mode because it can through character dialogue out of sync briefly.
