Is there a way to acces Button mapping via a files?
My stick has a broken button.
I rewired it so that the broken button is on the far right top side I don't normally use in fighting games.

The broken button corresponds to the X button on an X Box controller.

The issue I have is that the button mapping ingame doesn't work for me. It might be related to the broken button. Whenever I press the button to change the mapping, it immediatly change it back to Button 0 (X).

I can't change anything and the function I miss is the one on character select to change the costume. The function is hardwired to X and I can't change it via Controller setting.

I looked for a file where I could change the button mapping directly but no success here.

Button mapping is A (on xbox) to select when you remap in settings, if that doesn't work because of your buttong you can use the keyboard(should be "K" by default I think).

That's not the issue.
The button to change the mapping works fine.
My guess is the X button is stuck on a 1 state. As soon as the A button is press, X auto select itself.

Oh I see what you mean.
Depending on what firmware the stick uses you might be able to turn off that button.
If all else fails you could disconnect the stick and remap with another controller.

I tried using another controller but the costume selection is tied to the controller you use to play the fight. I would have to play with my XBox controller which would not be as enjoyable for me.

Can't you just....open the box, and change the wiring from the broken button to the working button and done?

That's not really the button that is broken.
It's whatever is X (button 0) inside the stick or it could even be firmware related.
The button doesn't work because it's connected to something that doesn't work anymore. I changed the wiring already to get at least a workable layout.
