I think they did it so you cant cheat with fast rank progression, you dont lose points for 10 ranks, so it is a very good way to speed your rank. 3 time is more than enough in ranked and if you liked you oponent just folow him and you can also play in private rooms

People dont have to accept the rematch though. especially if they got rektd and are feeling some kind of way.

While that's true, there's the other issue of if you meet some people that do rematch, and the moment they win, you quit. Tekken 7 ranked was full of them, some would outright plug before you can even get some of your points back, meaning they got a huge influx of points, and when you finally got the grasp of what they're doing, they leave you blueballed.

So yes, while the bo3 system can't stop one and dones, it can stop the people who cherry pick and farm others in order to climb.

i kinda get it for ranked but AT LEAST infinite rematch in quick play like cmon man

AND battle lounge arcade cabinets are also only first to 2 very unnecessary imo
