And she's a character that controlls space well, so taking her already average movement and nerfing it further turned her zoning type playstyle completely unvalid.
Now you have no choice but to play her like a xiaoyu and do nothing but abuse her evasion properties.
That's not how I played asuka so I am dropping her until they give her some backdash speed back.
Of course it's clear why they did it, because they don't want turtle playstyle. But she's also not very good at offense still.
So personally I do not understand what they think with this character.
They might as well remove her. Not that I would care, there's plenty of other chars I can main just fine. But it sucks for asuka loyalists.
Reina is not an easy character. We're busy figuring her out in practice for hours now and she's got so many just frames and execution barriers.
Asuka is a character that's way quicker to pick up and play, so I don't think you can compare the two.
abusing b3 and cancans
c'mon now, admit it. reina's just a harder asuka, and asuka's just an easier reina. reina's ez tho, if you're already familiar w/ mishima's
it's the type of game I like to crack open a beer to after a long day of work and have fun with familiar characters and flashy feel good animations
I think tekken 8 does that well
Tekken 7 probably appealed to high level players because, honestly, it was bare bones in the same way csgo is barebones for an fps.
I haven't played the multiplayer yet though, still trying to finish the offline content.
If I want to tryhard at some point I'll do it on Jun anyway
I am familar with mishimas and her mishima tools are fine and all but she also comes with a ton of stances you have to figure out and then there's a lot of just frame moves to master like her d4,1 has a just frame for example.
Asuka has neither mishima tools nor a ton of stances. But I suppose you're probably joking.
daaamn jun got those b3's and cancan's too. u chose well
mostly joking, yes. i don't have issues w/ her just frames tho. guess i'm just used to'em due to the countless hours i poured into training mode spamming ewgf w/ kaz
T8 ASUKA IS TRASH.
It's just that she doesn't make much sense in T8 anymore.
But I think I could still easily climb the ladder with her.
Buff Jin and Jun!
