before the update i used to find all regions which is good
I even bought new components (MSI Pro B650-S Wifi + Ryzen 5 7600X + 32GB DDR5 6000Mhz) still crashed same as before.
Yrah but the funny thing is...on my B450..3800xt 32 gb ram...6600 8gb gpu absolutely no problem..
So the question is...why do some setups crash...and why do others not.
That's the difficulty about developing for pc with all those different setups out there...
It's easy for consoles cause you know the hardware is the same so you can easily optimize for them.....pc is different.
very annoying to say the least
I have same problem, bro (
I haven't noticed anything like that, sorry to hear that it's still buggy. I will definitely let you know if I have anything like that with the mod installed.
Wanted to just confirm though that this, so far, this has worked. Day 2, several hours played and lots of testing on Fallen Destiny to try and cause a crash, but it's been stable so far. With the other fixes it would crash pretty reliably. Hesitant to say it's a total fix as sometimes the stage would function fine for me before this.
For anyone wondering I am on:
Ryzen 5 3600
Asus RX 5600 XT
16g ram
installed to SSD
All settings medium/low, TSR upscaling (idk what difference it might make)
If it crashes again on this or other stages I'll try and update this.
My laptop: MSI gv62 8RE
pass around 4-5 years still used it.
Maybe it should get new one PC?
I have updated my ticket with Namco as I had told them a few hours prior that it seemed to be a fix, which was extra frustrating as I held off on updating them for this exact reason. Played all weekend without a crash.
If you havent already I highly encourage you to raise a ticket with Namco directly via the support link for your respective region in the pinned post as they do not read anything here as it has clearly been abandoned since launch.
The semi good news is that this seems common enough that if enough tickets are raised there are much higher odds of this being addressed, even though communication has been dreadful on their part thus far.
So they do recognize that there is an issue your options are turn down settings turn off over clocks use the registry edit (which avoids the dxg fatal but locks up your system to where you have to hard reset your PC) or just don't play and wait for a patch. Being on PC we are in the minority therefore we may never get the treatment we deserve from bandai.
The post talks about Graphics optimisation which goes over tweaks and IG settings. Later in the 'in-game' settings section, the author recommends changing to the "TAAU" rendering engine, specifically for AMD cards (which I have). I changed this setting and essentially since then, the game has stopped crashing.
To that end, I think changing this rendering option to TAAU or other non-gpu specific rendering engines may be useful for both AMD and NVidia cards, as the hardware specific renderers seem to be crashing. The guide also has some useful tips to turn down graphics if necessary to increase performance, so I'd recommend trying some of those bits too if you have an older / lower power GPU.
Best of luck to you all and keep submitting tickets to Namco in the meantime.
