i keept getting the error message "The following components are required to play this game: Microsoft visual c++ runtime" when pressing play and it wont boot, does anyone else get this error?

I would recommend making a note of the error messages, then using a search engine to find the valid drivers from Microsoft.

The error messages will likely tell what exact file versions and names needed to be installed.

Also be careful to not download from "sketchy" sites, just to be safe.

same issue, I tried the following and nothing worked:

1. reinstalling all the VC++ for x86 and x64
2. reinstalling steam
3. reinstalling the game
4. installing updated graphics card drivers
5. installing latest .Net Framework
6. verifying that i have latest DirectX
7. checked integrity of game files in steam
8. Running Windows Updates

PC fulfills the game requirements.

The game works smoothly on the deck however, im having the same problem here on my pc I would love a solution!

For me only reinstalling Windows helped.

But I have 2015-2022 runtime installed already , why isnt it enough lol

When you say Reinstall windows how did you do so I'm mashing my face against a wall with the same issue and I would love to know how you solved it
