people say Kazuya is difficult, but i want to main him. any tips?

yo everyone,

im new to tekken and Kazuya looks very cool to me.. but i heard from everywhere thats he is very hard to play.. what is ur tips in this situation? should i look for another main?

I'm in the same boat. I tend to pick up the honest characters who dont have a lot of gimmicks. It helps me learn the core game & not rely neutral skipping stuff as much. Have been hearing how Kaz has more gimmicks to his game now to make it easier.

Kazuya mains say Kazuya is difficult and everyone else in the game is easy. Then when you body them they say "Well my execution was better so I still won actually". This isn't joke. This is actually what they believe. Kazuya is THE NPC choice.

every character is difficult to play if you dont know their moveset, you only get better with a character the more you play with said character, go in offline battles and fight ai to learn or go in practice and learn the movesets,

when i started back on the ps2 which i never played tekken until around 2008 2009,
every character for me was difficult to play as,
until i learn what does what.

so no kazuya isnt hard to play as.

depends how comfortable you are with exact timing of the df+2, you can even delay the timing for EWGF which more useless but harder.

some people pick it up faster than others but you can learn it pretty fast, the harder part is applying it in a match as a whiff or block punish

Never underestimate KB. KB is basically a hitbox. With more buttons. Just put Up on Space and use your thumb for it. You're gucci.

KB has been my go-to for FGs on PC for... Well.. A decade and a half? Two decades? It absolutely works. Check out hitbox layouts online and do something similar on your keyboard. You're gonna have a lot of fingers to work with, compared to me with my thumbs and PS4 controller (I can't play Tekken or SC without a controller, that's a deformation at this point and I can't be bothered to relearn).
