PC vs PS5
Since Steam has a good refund policy I can still refund. I usually get most fighting games on Console, this would be my first one on PC. I don't really trust PC ports of fighting games, the Demo runs decent on my rig with DLSS. But the demo also runs flawlessly on my PS5 too.

2080super, 9700k, 32gb ram

With crossplay being a reality the chances of fighting a cheater on PC is the same on any platform.
Unless your playing on console and turn off cross play

With that rig you should play without any problem. This game don't use the cpu very much but if you wanna play 4k ultra, you need a 4070 and no console can achieve the same result.

Your pc is obviously fine, tekken 7 pc version runs great, tekken 8 demo runs great, zero reason to believe the main game won't be the same.

If I would have PS5 I would prefer PS5 version.
- no cheaters, macro etc.
- lower input lag make you unable to properly play in tournaments because all tournaments are on PS5. When get muscule memory to play the game then later its hard to swith on PS5. Similar things with the pads. If you play on PC you propably play in xbox controller and later it will be much harder to play it on Ps5 controller.

Steam have 2h gameplay refound policy while on PS5 you can get phisical coppy so it's sellable.

I feel like PS5 is mostly for core Playsation fans but PC is for like everyone. I own a PS5 and a PC (where do you think I'm typing this comment from) and I have some of my favorite games on PS5, but also on PC. It really just depends on what games you play.

PC
Pros: Less input lag, less WiFi player, mod,
Cons: poor hardware player, more rage quiter, possible cheaters

PS5
Pros: single platform, almost no possible to cheat
Cons: more input lag, more WiFi player

I pick PC for more fun to play on offline mode with less input lag and also custome mods.

Yeah but that's not worth it. I don't think I have ever fought a cheater online in any fighting game and there's little evidence on yt for it so I don't think anyone should be concerned about it.

Will my GTX 4070Ti, i713700k and 32 Gigabyte Ram be enough to play it in 4k max settings and 60 fps?

Bro there is crossplay... You will have cheaters even on ps5 like it or not.

Just get it on PC for convenience and get it on PS5 later.
ClutchAnderson Jan 25, 2024 @ 12:23pm
I got it on PC so I can also play on SteamDeck...

Honestly, PS5. You can just turn off-cross play and not have to worry about being placed against somebody trying to run it on a Pentium 3 and a Geforce FX 5700 or something.

I've heard some things about input delay being "funky" on PS5. That's actually one of my main concerns, and keeping PS+ up.
Didn't look into it as of late but that was the reason I completely quit playing fighting games on the PS5. For some odd reason, even though the Dualsense is the fastest controller on pc, the input delay on the ps5 has been a nightmare.
If you're used to it you probably won't mind... keep in mind though that the ps5 input delay was about 5 times as much as PC or ps4/xbox had.

They might've fixed that though.

For clarity, the PC is "less input lag" due to Vsync not being a forced option. The forced Vsync definitely adds input delay and it's optional with the PC. I don't believe the controllers would have any advantage and if anything would be a negative in certain scenarios.

Idiots with their input delay lies. Tournaments are run on playstations fools, not pc.
The first thing I always do is turn off crossplay, pc mustard racers with their potatoes ruin matches. You can also disable fight invites from wifi casuals.
