Practice mode
I don't want to spend 100 euros for the game with season pass.

But I won't be able to practice all the frame data with characters that aren't unlocked am I ?
That for me is such a dealbreaker that I will buy tekken including the season pass.

Buy season pass later? You don’t need any practice data to practice. When I practiced in T7, I super rarely looked at numbers. I only cared about punishment combos, combos, move list etc.
Oh no, better tell Harada san

with replay you can just replay your own matches to see what you could have done against said chars.

Yes I meant the lab where I can play against a dlc character. That way i can practice against unsafe moves and see what frames they are.

But you will not be able to do that if you haven't bought the dlc character.

In order to know the ins and outs of a dlc character you need to buy the season pass or the dlc character.

Tekken is a competitive game , therefor you need to have atleast access to the dlc characters in the lab as an opponent. To figure out the frames.

You can do it in replay. But you don't have access to all of the moves. You are limited by the fact which moves your opponent does.

Imho you need to be able to atleast view all of the moves of dlc characters to know how to react.

I have already bought the ultimate edition but from a competitive standpoint it's not competitive friendly for people who don't want to spend more money on character they don't want to use only for Lab purposes.

you will have 32 characters to play with, you just have fun

ofcourse. It's just a minor issue I found with Tekken 8.

For example when Eddy Gordo comes arround you want to know the frames and properties.
And the only way to do that is by spending more money.

But like I said , I already bought the game incl season pass but some dlc characters I'm not interested in but still have to spend money to know 100% of their moves.

The way it should work is that you have access to all the DLCs offline but you need to buy them if you want to play online.

Of course that would be too consumer friendly so it won't happen.

Well not to have access to them in the sense of playing. But to select a dlc character as an opponent. That way you can understand him withouth the need of paying money

You should be able to practice against characters that you don't own.
If you can't, then you shouldn't be able to play against them online either.

One thing that is nice, from reading threads here... lot of new fighting game players coming in to check it out.
