I don't want cumbersome anti-cheat software like some other games where it requires low level access to your PC and hinders linux compatibility.
A "block player" button would be nice though.
oh, no no, it doesn't have to be incompatible with Linux, alot of games managed to make it work already thanks to steamdeck also being on Linux.
anti cheat is required, and it has nothing to do with crossplatform play being optional.
i'm so sick and tired of cheaters, being forced to endure a set and then add them to a blacklist is not the solution.
banning them entirely is, though.
forcing them to play without cheats is the way to go.
still, blacklist is a big thing, the moment you spot someone who's blatant you can at least enjoy not being matched up with them again
it's better than nothing but still no solution to stop cheaters yknow?
People cheat on console just as much as on PC. Action Replays are a thing, Modded controllers are a thing, Macros from both are a thing. You can do a Google Search and in 15 minutes find script and macro sets for PS4.
I worry that we are headed for the same experience as Tekken 7- heck, it may even be worse.
anyone with the toxic mentality of blacklisting people who are better than them was never worth playing in the first place
There will be a blacklist feature so that should help.
the best bet is to lock account stats to online encryption so when you have a rank reset or modify the files it resets them back to what they should be ending the ez smurf issue.
i genuinely hope that anti-cheat will happen.
Sure, the PS4 had cheaters, too, but you really cannot compare the amount between the platforms, especially with the scripting on PC.
macros may forever live on, but at least we'd get rank cheaters and auto-duck/dash/block using scrubs out of the way with a decent anti-cheat.
and now that crossplay is involved, and sony being kinda strict with the standards games should have (and they're sponsoring Ash), i'm pretty sure they already demanded a good anti-cheat from bamco.
at least that's what i'm hoping for.
Well here is the thing You can program steam controller options to enable macros
you can literally have it set to f*d,f on a button. I use 2+3 for the DS5 touch pad so I can press u+2+3 so i can set up with ss and hit people with the katana when they are dazed and dumbfounded.
Its more or less down to player choice these days due to platforms supporting mapping options for various games.
I just want another button close to hand for 2+3 I don't want to cheat my way to Kwd
(nor do i want a overpriced DIY buildabear Jstick)
But yes having a memory editor would cause more issues that scripting auto bs hopefully will be stopped.
I dont mind stage mods or costume mods that don't desynch I don't have any myself.
But scrips that play for you need to go the way of extinction when it comes to the FGC.
tekken 7 had losers who ruined the fun for all,
costume and stage mods are different as they wont work on console(since you have to download these from a unofficial site)
anti cheats are always needed on all games.
on playstation its impossible to use any mods aka cheats online as everythings offline only since sony learned their lesson in 2011,
but that doesnt mean those morons who use 3rd party modded controllers wont be using them which again isnt against the tos as its hardware mod an actual cheats,
but it still scumbag move to use them on any platform.
I debate impossible combo moves, cause late game experience wise you can play insanely fast in this game. https://www.youtube.com/shorts/xtwRkEUesxc?feature=share
https://youtu.be/lE3CEWDm67g I base my game speed on Cheese Yoni, I plan to eventually be even faster.
Yes hardware peripheral mods are against both the TOS and Eula on Sony Playstation consoles as well as any other platform.
and people cry about every little miniscule nerf they receive, smh.
you can play fast once you learn a character's ins and outs and practiced execution to the point of pulling it off with ease, sure.
but what is your highest rank in 7, and why is speed the one thing you care about most?
openings pokes and more flashy things is my focus . I play tekken like its a brawler.
