Even street fighter have this easy combo/execution mode, thats funny how mortal kombat become the hardest fighting game in 2023 since they do not have these noobs features

I guarantee 80% of players wont use special style coz it will mainly hinder their gameplay

What people don't wanna hear is that the older titles were just as braindead and poorly balanced. But a child mashing in Tekken 3 or 4 had no frame of refference for what is braindead and what isn't. So we keep the old game in good memory while ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ on the new game even though a ton has improved since.

yes tekken was supposed to be about skill. where is the skill if combos are automatic?

You talk about the new "modern control" i guess ? It will be viable at low rank, dude, thats all.
And in Tekken, the difficulty is the good answer at the good moment, with a good execution. Its so easy to drop your combo... And the environnement impact him too... near a wall or not ? etc...

Go to Granblue Fantasy, and look. This is dumb, yes. But tekken ? A Granblue player survive 30 secondes in Tekken or SF6

You talk about auto combo. They are limited. Its like modern controls on SF6, they stuck in silver or mid Gold rank man... This is just an easy entrance for new generation players, but people who really love versus, are in, or will be in classic controls.

Tekken 8 is really fast. The skill will be in good reading. This is like Heat auto attack man, noob will use it and hit your guard, good players will use it for the new tech they gives, and evolve their combos.
Don't be afraid. i'm sure that amical matches will be garbage, like SF6, because of modern controls and stupid mentality. Ranking will make the selection.

I think soecial mode could be bad for beginners since it may lead them to think that's all there is to tekken and that would be a shame.

For anyone that's not a complete beginner special style is a complete non-factor.

On a side note, it's interesting that FG devs really can't come up with a way to make these games look approachable, they've been trying hard to fill the void left by arcades.

As far as I know, Tekkenoverlay is the only tool that unlocks the fps in tekken 7 which actually should have been supported within the games menu, but even in T8 there is no unlocked fps.
