They are both super popular so population and resources are unlikely to be a problem for either of them.
When you say you are an SF4 player, maybe elaborate. Like how long, how serious are you about it? What specifically are you enjoying about playing that game that someone might be able to point to another game as having something similar for you to find.
Right now, it's hard highlight much beyond the obvious 2D vs 3D stuff. They are pretty different experiences. Everything from the way you move, the combo systems, are different. Tekken the environment plays a much bigger role, vs SF6 which has none and players can literally be playing a different stages at the same time.
SF6 has the Drive system and I enjoyed that. T8 has the Heat system and I have enjoyed the Heat system but the Rage Art system is something that sets those two apart. It's just a press of the R1 button on your controller when your health is low enough and you could go from being on the verge of defeat to winning the round.
Street Fighter was my main fighting game from the SNES days until SFV. I switched over to Tekken via Tekken 7 and haven't looked back. Tekken just feels more like a brawler than SF6 in my opinion.
I did enjoy SF6 earlier this year after pre-ordering for the Xbox (didn't have my gaming laptop at the time) but I simply decided to not spend money on Xbox Live. The Modern Controls were well done and a welcome addition to the series.
And you can download demos for BOTH games and see which one you like!
I didn't really get that far with it, that is why I am just considering abandoning it and putting effort into a newer game with better graphics and gameplay and strategy, assuming the newer fighters are better.
I have played Tekken 3 for the Playstation and I liked it, but I found the arcade mode terrible and I didn't like the limited number of characters, but I did like the game mechanics and juggling and overall the mechanics seem simpler then Street Fighter.
sf 2d
for real tho its legit just how you feel you wanna play
You want some heavy 50/50 with lotsa footsies and pretty chunky movesets? Tekken
You wanna block low all day in a corner until a overhead or a grab come your way and its guess time? Sf
Honestly,I prefer Tekken, just cause a mid is actually a mid and I can open up my enemy without having to jump all day or the same 3 moves and a projectile.
Altho I'd say if you really wanna go SF,stay with 4 lmao
A game releasing without fully function properly implemented rollback based netcode is an unforgivable sin. Most peoples interaction with Tekken 8 is going to be sub optimal online play. I played enough Tekken online to know that I don't want to deal with delay frames when a snake edge is coming my way.
Signed up for the Xbox Series version and never got an invite. How did the T8 online multiplayer work back then?
I just wanna ask though. Is there a strong community for ultra super dee duper street fighter fffffffffffoooooooaaaar?! I havent check for awhile since omega became a thing.
You're in the Tekken forum so you're gonna get a biased response.
