Music in this game is amazing! Why people say it's bland?

I heard some people call the music bland... why tho?
I only started the game, just got to the Cirque du Goumaden, and all the music i heard was very good sounding and fitting the areas and scenes.

Battle theme is good, but Soul Matrix Boss theme is just... *Faints* Gorgeous.

To keep it simple, both Aion and regular dungeons have a single theme playing in the background (except the final regular dungeon) which just screams laziness.

Yes, overworld and shop themes are quite nice, but that's not where you spend most of the time in the game. This one has to be my favorite:

Eh, i don't mind it.
At least it's not brain-poking as original Mementos theme.

At least this game HAS dungeons, unlike SMTV which has only two.

Aside from "Hopeless Cry", the music within Soul Hackers 2 sounds incredibly generic for a video game - especially since a lot of the instruments just sound canned as hell. I don't know why Studio MoNACA was dragged into this either since their work sounds both out-of-place and trendy here. Overall, the OST lacks quality but more importantly cohesion. Rock then dubstep then baby-opera.

How is it generic? I don't hear music like this in other games or anime.

he's a Tekken composer. yeah he's good.
he also made music for Nier Automata, one of the best video game OST in recent memory.
