Replayed the fight with a different tactic, dealt with the boss quicker so they didn't attack with Apocalypse.
Just another question is apocalyptic light a thing also on normal? Can someone confirm it?
Edit: I rushed him too, one of my chars died though :(.(lvl14 party)
Apocalypse Light is exactly what Pixie's 99999-damage 100%-hit-chance Megidolaon was in P3's Elizabeth boss fight - a turn limit, theoretically unavoidable.
Ardha (DLC final boss) has it set on 20 full party turns. Any Soul Matrix boss where it's stated "you will be unable to continue should you lose" also has a limit of 10 full party turns.
Source: I did some testing with Cheatengine for these fights.
You just have to be faster.
(I know this is waaaay late of a response) I can confirm it can be done on normal, first time with 1 barely alive, the next time on turn 3 with all 3 alive... I'll come back later
