BTW... Dont listen to "journalist", most of them give low scores just for nothing.
Assuming you don't like the gameplay formula of SMT games, then probably don't bother
The exploration and storytelling however tend to differ greatly.
So if you like the exploration and socialising part of Persona, but not the battles or fusing, you propably won't like this a lot. If it's the other way round, you could try it for 2 hours.
I saw one review giving this game 30% (Gamingtrend). I also saw reviews with 90%. I wonder if these people played the same game. Wether you like it personally or not is one thing, but you need to factor in different tastes and different people and ages and recommend without personal bias. I wonder if these "journalists" consider that at all. Not much objectivity left in these reviews recently imho.
I think it's good advice IF it's a genre you aren't a fan of and a developer you don't know. Like if somebody was just getting started on JRPGs I wouldn't recommend they start with a game that has a 75 metacritic. But I can't imagine fans of SMT games being dissuaded by such a score.
But did you enjoy the combat and demon system of P5?
In this game it's exactly the same.
