I don’t envy you having to bargain with the Puritans at Steam, but you do know there are other storefronts and other platforms, right? The Nintendo eShop got three new games with the word “hentai” in the title this week alone. You don’t have to do this to yourselves, at least not exclusively.

Almost all of those games are just full of fanservice though, rather than actual eroge.

Still, your point is warranted. More storefronts are available and should be used.

Even so, I think they should still try to appease Valve, because Steam is the largest store.

Thank you for your effort, we feel your pain. However, as is evident by now, Steam is not a reliable or trustworthy partner. Choosing gog or dlsite would do a lot better with less insane store demands. Even in the case you don't want to let go of steam due to coverage - I think you should at least consider selling steam keys elsewhere or even on your own website, that way you can keep more money out of Valve's pockets and add into yours. You may think selling keys is not very conscious, but keep in mind Valve's demands are not conscious either. (don't generate more than 5000 keys at first, valve may not allow that). Wish you all the luck in the world
