shooting range
The shooting range minigame is extremely annoying, at least when using a trackpad. Half of the clicks don't register, so the timer runs down and they count as misses. Timer goes too fast to adjust or to click twice, so is far too unforgiving.

Same thing with the mouse.
Doesn't look like a minigame, you just score impossibly poorly.
Either it's a glitch, or really poor design.
Was so bad, I just wrote it off. Not my worry.

No its not a glitch, I got good results. I just think its probably a mini-game that requires a mouse with higher dpi and precision clicking.

Using a mouse is best, just roll the wheel up and get all head shots. Move the cursor just a hair before clicking though or it still misses.

You can always click on back and redo the shot if you are having problems,
I did on my first try until I got use to it, Now it's pretty easy {on my second play}
without doing that.

Just scroll up on the mouse wheel if you miss and retake your shot. I'm scoring all head shot's. You can get your mouse in the right spot scroll up if missed and win!

It used to be 2 seconds, but many people said it was too easy. Now he made it only for 0.6 seconds and now it's super hard haha.

I feel like I have a click registration problem. Clicking on the 15 point spot is a guaranteed miss for me every time. Its like the location registers the click slightly off the mark. I'm on an Ultra wide so may be the resolution is the problem....

I'm on ultrawide aswell 21:9 (3440x1440). Here's a tip, if you missed a shot just aim at where the head will pop up and use your scroll wheel to go back 1 screen. So when the target pops up again all you have to do is left click.

Yeah, for me it seems the hits don't register. Ultra wide monitor user as well. I just click anywhere and after about 10 tries I win.

All of these "so called" mini-game's are just gotta get them done in 1 second. Does winning them get you an achievement, because if they don't I'm just going to turn them off. Beside's them this is an awesome game, but the 1,2 or 3 second's on them is a waste of time.

i don't get how can have issues with a minigame in renpy when you can easily scroll back between scenes. that is a cheat in and of itself. you missed? scroll up to go back 1 scene and try again. and yea, on ultrawide, you're gonna have issues. same for the ancient 4:3 ratio. the game, unfortunately, is made for 16:9 so any other resolution type would have to be recoded from the ground up. that's just how renpy is.
as for the OP: the trackpad is a known issue and it's not specific to Artemis. pretty much every renpy game has it. something to do with pointer tracking in this engine.

I found that you have to double click the target for it to essentially work one click doesn't seems to register. Was able to get higher than Naomi but yeah not the best one.

Yes the gun range does{ achievements} not sure about the others.

Yikes, don't assume everyone inherently abuses the ability to scroll back and redo choices/actions. The dev went through the trouble of building out this mini-game the least I could do is play it honestly. I won't go as far is replaying the entire game to retry the gun range but loading to a save just before it is reasonable enough. I'm here to give feedback so the dev and community alike can benefit from this info. :nekoheart:
