Infinite fight with Demon

The Demon has a couple of HP that can only be removed by direct damage from dice. I have four casters alive, none of them with any sides that deal damage. I can get 20+ mana per turn and prevent the demon from doing anything or harming me in any way. Am I stuck in an infinite loop? Will the demon eventually flee? Curious if this has happened to anyone.

If you heal yourself until you have 10x the HP it has, it will flee.
But yes, you can get into checkmate positions like this on occasion.

yeah it's not uncommon. Basilisks can punish too many damage sides, thorns and demons can punish too many magic sides.
