What's going on with the 1,000,000 Hero Deaths Achievement?

Is there some kind of technique for this?

I've played the game for 10 hours on steam (more before on mobile). In the 10 hours, I've hit 25 deaths. Deaths only seem to save towards the total once combat ends, so no undo/redo. At this rate, I will get the achievement in a measly 420,000 hours.

If I play the game for 12 hours a day, I will get this achievement in 2,301 Years.

Such number is just ridiculous. Bad achievement design in its glory, alas. It's not fun and it's purposeless. Best solution, in my opinion, is shrug and pass by. I guess.

I'm not sure exactly how much it will speed it up, but there's a mode called "Raid" that gives you many heroes.

It's probably to have a goal to work towards for long-term play.

The hidden achievements weren't really meant to be achieved, that's why they were hidden. Blame the people who wanted Steam integration for making you aware of its existence.

WTF is this warped logic?
"Secret" achievements (in which the earning criteria are not displayed) are DUMB. The description for them might as well just be, "Go look this up on internet." There's absolutely no point to them, other than just giving the player an errand.
About blaming people. Blame for what reason? Like, something awful happened! You shouldn't have known about this. It's a terrible sin! You shouldn't have known that this achievement is unattainable by sane people! Now remove your post immediately, before it's not too late!

If it's even achievable, it's because there's a specific strategy for killing off a ton of your people in Raid mode, probably.

I'm not speaking in favor of it, I hate achievements like this, but you're right in the sense that you won't achieve this through normal play.

I'm triggered and now I need to speak out. It would take some effort to describe how BAD the design of this achievement is. It's bad on multiple layers!
Let's start from reasonability of criteria. Is this achievement a reward for being good at the game? Obviously no. Is it a reward for being bad at the game, though it's stupid by itself? Also no. Is it a reward for being loyal to the game? Also no, because you won't achieve this through normal play in no way. I'm confused - criteria is just dumb.
But that's not all. This achievement is also a "Secret". I'm already described earlier why secret achievements are stupid by itself. But let's pretend that keeping this secret is somehow fun, and there is some good reason for this. Well, it turns out that you shouldn't have to known that you forced to play the game in most counterintuitive, counterproductive and perverted way possible to attain the goal. WTF is this?! What's the idea that no one can achieve this? Just think about it. This is pure absurd!
What do we have as a result? Probably, this is the stupidest achievement design known to me. Probably, this is in top 10 stupidest achievements in human history. Bravo! Clap-clap.

That's basically what I meant. It was a joke. Nobody was supposed to actually do stuff like this, or using 100+ keywords on a single face, or OTKing literally every battle in Classic (20 turns taken or less, and there are 20 fights). Nobody is supposed to play Hell mode, that's only there because the code for it was easy.
