Black screen after recent update
Hi, I am facing an issue with the game since one of the last updates. Indeed, launched the game to try the new content after ~ 6 months from the last time I played.

What happens when I launch the game is that the loading screen is showing correctly (the one with the credits), but then the game maximises its window size to full screen and everything is black. I can hear the sounds of the main menu options if I randomly click on my screen, so the game is running correctly, it is just that I see all black.

I think that my setting for window size was "borderless window" if I recall correctly.

I am willing to provide any further feedback/logs if that helps

Thanks. Sadly I don't know what this is, I'll keep an eye out. Maybe deleting your save file might help but that's not ideal.

Thanks for the reply.
I'll perform a couple of tests on other PCs and stuff like that when I get the time.
Perhaps I can edit video settings by tinkering with game files in some way? If video options are stored in a non-binary file, maybe resetting only that part would spare me from deleting my save files

Hi Tann, sorry if I bother you again but I still have the issue and I have run some more tests. On my main PC, I still get a black screen (music is playing in background and options are clickable) no matter what. On my laptop I can play without any issue, so maybe the issue is not in the save file?
The two PCs have fairly different specs (14 inch screen @ 1920x1080 60Hz - working - vs 27 inch screen @ 2560x1440 165 Hz - not working).
I tried to uninstall/reinstall and to tweak several graphical options with no luck so far.
I can provide dxdiag output via mail or wherever, if you think that you may identify the issue. Or if there some more testing I can perform on my side, please let me know. You game is truly great and it is a shame I cannot play it on my main machine :)

btw I searched a bit more on the web and I think that "Paul" has this very same issue:

Update: I reset factory settings of my AMD GPU software for the game and now the screen is not black anymore. Those settings have never been manually tweaked by me and were being adjusted by the AMD software itself. I'll see if I discover the precise combination of options that triggered the black screen
