keyboard shorcuts ?
Hi,

i'm playing on the steam deck (and waiting maybe for a controller support, who knows) so i was searching for keyboard shortcuts.

I found :

R for reroll
Space for end turn
123... For grabbing the dice corresponding to the character.

I didn't found one for inventory nor for the "show enemies aiming" (the little red dot we can press) that i would like to see a lot. As i said i'm playing on the deck and while trackpad are awesome, pressing that little dot isn't as convenient as pressing a shortcut. :3

Also maybe allowing us to select characters/enemies and dice with up/down/left/right and activating abilities or dice with enter would be great too.

Has anybody found any other keyboard shortcuts ?

Having more would be cool, and also a way to rebind them as we want.
I guess it's an obvious suggestion, but i didn't see any road map so here's my suggestion.

I don't know much about steam deck yet.

There's hotkeys in help-tips, qwe... for spells, 123... for selecting heroes and targeting. It's not fully playable with keyboard.

There's a setting in options-ui called "smartphone controls" that makes tap+hold count as right-click.

I've been playing on Steam Deck. Set right track pad to mouse and click to left click. Left track pad to mouse as well and right click. That's all you really need for this game.

Hi there, tann! This game seems awesome!

Am I missing an option to allow seeing, at a glance, which rolled dice are associated with which character? Some of the characters have duplicate colors and it provides tedious friction to constantly mouse over each die. Double-clicking to "sort" after every roll seems like a flawed solution, as it turns what should be 1 click into 3. I must be missing something! Please enlighten me :)

I think this is a tutorial only problem. At least from the little bit I've played, every run after the tutorial run has 5 different colored heroes.

@tann : Thanks for taking the time to answer here.
I'm hooked, your game is fantastic, congrats !

I'm must be missing something, i don't have any keyboard shortcut listed on the help menu.
Not that big of an issue. But, really, i don't see them.

Would you consider adding some shortcut for other action like UNDO & Inventory or activating the "target button" (the little red dot that show enemies attack) ?

Gamepad support would be great but i guess you have more on your plate now. At the moment it's ok on the deck, run very smooth, adding shortcuts would help imo.

Keep playing, you'll see it's not a tutorial only problem. :/

The target button is the one I'm missing a shortcut for as well. I know that the tiny color blobs next to the enemy portrait indicate their targets as well, but those are sometimes not that easy to see. (Plus normally I want to see how many enemies are attacking one guy, not how many guys an enemy is attacking)

You can easily create a command which will move the mouse to the "show enemies aiming" button and press it.

1. Do an in-game screenshot (Steam+E1)
2. To any button assign Mouse>Move to Position
(Click 'Start' option and R1 to show last screenshot > point with touchpad at the in-game button and click A) > Confirm
3. Next, add sub command and set it as Mouse>Left Mouse Click

All done, choosen press&hold the button to activate "show enemy's aiming" 😃

Ho wow !

I’ve spent hours with my steam controller and even on the deck making personal configuration (and actually enjoyed it) and i didn't knew that function.

I was messing around with mouse region but this combine with the screenshot tips is absolutely wonderfull thank you !

Hah, yeah, you can do a lot with the controls setup. Not the first game where I spent first hour setting up controls instead of playing lol

As a side note, if you what just a quick press, like moving and pressing 'go back' button then you need to set
> Second command (Left Click) as extra not sub
And set some delays
> First command end delay to 25
> 2nd command start delay to 10

Yes that's what did for the undo command.

I'll share my set up once I'm happy with it.

Thanks again for those tips Toq, it's very useful !

No worries, happy to help 😄 btw I am curious if/how did you map the numbers. Right now I have created virtual touch menu with 6 buttons (1-6 keys) and map it to left touchpad. Works quite well but it is a bit hard to get used to lol

Atm i have 1 on the Left stick UP, 2/3/4 on the Dpad UP/Left/Down and 5 on Left stick down.
Not super elegant but kind of works. It's kind of a downward placement and It mostly natural.

I also made a mouse region very narrow (almost a vertical line) with the left trackpad that cover only the heroes. And it's more elegant. I don't know which one i prefer atm.

Doesn't that mean that if 1st hero attacks 2nd+ enemy your thumb need to travel between dpad and joystick? A bit inefficient 😄 I was thinking about using dpad, but in a way that I would put 1-4 on them and add 2nd layer with 5-8 triggered by button or taking finger away from right touchpad. Still didn't tested it tho 🙂

Didn't even know there was setting for region xd

Yes i'm using 1/2/3/4/5 Kb shortcuts (so dpad and joystick) to select heroes abilities but then i'm using the mouse/trackpad to aim. I'm also clicking on the dice to select them.

Also mouse region is less practical to set up than "move to position" with a screenshot as you explained, but yes it's pretty handy.

Here's my setting to save you some time if you want to try it :
