We want to make sure that we can push the third-person locomotion as far as possible.
It is of a similar reason that we are fully committed to PvE and don't try to cater to both audiences.

There have been quite a lot of games that implemented such a mode later down the line after a year or two post release, due to success and the resources being available.
Sometimes it ends up being janky, but nontheless fun.
And for others it becomes the main way to play a game like that.
Im fine with 3rd person, but a first person option would be appreciated later on.
Honestly from someone that plays/played Chiv, Mordhau etc. first person's view while more authentic or immersive. It doesn't obstruct your view in most games wearing armor (Cept Kingdom Come) and due to limited vision can cause you be blindsided more often than you may be irl.
Granted this is giving you third person will give you extra awareness that you naturally won't have either. Gameplay-wise third is generally better, unless it is role playing game more so or first person only physics combat.
