I totally agree. The new boss spams skills way too often. The safe zones in the two-boss arena are also way too limited.
For Triple Goddesses, I have no solid advice. Their empowered mode took me 3-4 hours to clear, and I only managed to beat it out of luck. As for Elecia, don't sprint around. Her skill's AoE is huge, so sudden direction changes will get you clipped. Also, staying too far triggers her bullet hell patterns and limits your movement options.
Try starting on the top-right platform. Only dodge when skill indicators appear, and use small sidesteps. Abuse the grappling hooks for mobility. During bullet phases, kite between the central platform and top-right one. For collection: Incendiary Essence, Time Manipulator, Erosive Bullets, and Fae of Love&Hate work best.Same goes for Phase 2: stay close to the boss, keeping jump.
Shotgun better then Rocket Launcher for mobility. Its first shot generates recoil without needing to hit ground/walls, letting you stay airborne longer or change direction faster mid-air.
Elecia only shrinks safe zones, but Triple Goddess restricts your damage windows, has three phases, and shared HP preventing firepower reduction. Can’t imagine how Maya is supposed to beat this boss with her lack of recovery.
Your advice for Elecia has been very helpful. Staying at the top platforms has been very useful for getting to the second phase of the fight. Though I have ignored your collection advice as I find the Ruby Slippers to be too useful in dodging Elecia's attacks to abandon. The shotgun has also been a good choice, it is a lot easier to shoot Elecia with it. While I can get to the second phase Elecia becomes even faster 😭 maybe with enough practice and luck I will be able to beat her. Thank you once again
Edit: I DID IT!!!! I used the trinket that changes the pistol and makes it launch a saw blade that moves across surfaces (I would like to thank derpwizard for reminding me of that one). That trinket helped a lot with damaging the boss when she was in a hard to reach spot. I either got lucky in the second phase or was just locked in. Only the Triple Goddesses left to go!
My final trinket collection for the fight was; Incendiary Essence, Ruby Slippers, Powdered Fae Silver, Erosive Bullets, and Energy Converter
One quirk the goddesses have is that they obey gravity when the light turns on, so floating them over the edge before then can get you some breathing room to heal (and the phase change time, just watch out for attacks that didn't despawn yet). The head that shoots lasers is deceptively dangerous, since she likes hugging ceilings and sniping you when you move away from cover. The chain attack is most easily dodged with charged jumps + shotgun in my experience, since that can cover every direction. It's usually used multiple times in a row, so be ready for that.
For trinkets, extra range and damage can go a long ways to shortening the time you need to survive. I'm not sure what else is great, so you could probably use whatever you're comfortable with. If you want to try pistol/shotgun quick swapping, the pistol behavior change is PROBABLY a lot better than the default behavior, since I used it as a "maybe this will hit them while I run away"
And I don't really think anyone would tell you to git gud haha, these bosses are very tough and really fitting of a final update
One thing that was really tripping me up was determining if the melee head was going to use its saw blade attack or spike attack. Both attacks use the caution sign as a warning but the head doesn't move when doing the spike attack so that is a clue on if you can sneak by or not.
In the last phase for survival rather than damage was really important for me. Staying near the top and then dropping down if need to avoid the cross attack or the sniper.
While I can see the utility in some extra range to allow you to shoot the melee head after it did a spike attack, pure and simple damage won it for me.
My final trinket collection for the empowered triple goddesses was; Incendiary Essence, Ruby Slippers, Thorny Rose, Erosive Bullets, HP Overload, Energy Converter (unused in actual fight).
