Ascention
How does this mechanic work exactly? I beat Demonic Carbuncle, to see if I could recruit the game's wizard and the God that rules me, offered me to ascend, is this just to restart the game, or do I gain something long term from this?

You leave this Kingdom behind and Ascend to the World Sim (like at the start of Choose Your Fate). You choose how and when to jump back in with a new Kingdom in the same World.

It’s effectively a way to start a new Chaper in the same world if you’d like.

No permanent benefits at present.

Thank you. btw you guys have plans to add hard magic in the game? (right now, i think the frosts caps eventuality, will add something, but i not sure) i was planning to build an archamage tower, but, i could recruit the mage, so i abandoned the project xD
I asked earlier if this will be the final major update before 1.0, and xobermon revealed there is one last major update to 1.0. Seeing that the mage character is pretty much in the game from the start, the last major update being some kind of magic framework is pretty likely.

Can't speak for anyone else. But I enjoy Noble Fates enough, and I trust the dev team enough that I'm willing to buy future paid DLCs so long as they are priced reasonably. I'm really curious if the dev team would be willing to continue support this game with more DLCs, or move to another project, either a Noble Fates sequel, or something else.

Personally, I want to see some expansion/stuff pack that expand on water tiles. Add the ability to fish (I really don't understand why Colony Sim add water tile, but only use them as a pit trap and not allow characters to do something as basic as fishing), collecting resources from water, or even add water based enemies.

And why, can you not add an Option, to ascend with the entire Kingdom?

Any plans to be able to physically invade and conquer the whole island/kingdom and taking over the building in conquered kingdoms...?

probably due to the Kontra mechanic... remember.. .ONLY YOU are possessed by the divine... not your *mortals*

No, you are the Kontra, who controls the Ruler and the Ruler controls your Mortals and why should that an Issue, if the Devs would make it possible, that our Kontra can level up and improve his Skills.

Currently, Kiern, our Kontra, is locked to always stay an Novice.

I have even started an Thread about this, sometime before this, but the Devs have refused to answer it.

You are NOT THE kontra.. .the Kontra is in the crown you wear... you are just being *sometimes* possessed by it... its my personal opinion... but does it not make sense? the ONLY ONE you have DIRECT control over is the king!

we should wait to hear from the dev himself... calm down bro... its only an opinion ;)

How about playing the Tutorial Game and watching the Intro of it?
Because it clearly says, that you are the Kontra.
