Rage Quit
After 130 Hours of playtime I actually rage quit today when disaster struck. Have 13 people in town. I built my "castle" underground by 3 levels. Stored up 6 years of food. Everything is going nicely. Decided to remove my original little shack on surface which was off to the side and not part of my entry building. It also had 2 solid unmined layers of ground under it. All of a sudden a couple days later all my food stared decaying. It was now all listed as being outside as were all my bedrooms and apartments. In a panic I double checked the entry building for any breaches, all was good but to be sure I rebuilt it all with stone and new roof. Still everything is considered outdoors. Then I rebuilt the original shack thinking maybe that was the cause but NO. Everything is still considered outdoors even though it is 3 layers underground with solid floors and doors on each entry level to get down. I've decided that my sanity requires me to go take my "rage" out in my rl kitchen by cleaning the fridge and rearranging my cupboards. Arrgghhhh

Last time I played there was a maximum room size, it's probably still there... I think it was 144 cells... anything larger than that is classed as outdoors

If you want massive rooms then you could use the doorways without doors as 'walls' to section off areas while having it still look big and open

all individual rooms are proper size for level of apartments and bedrooms. Ranging from 2x2 rooms and up to 4x4 and all workrooms, dining rooms, tavern and storage are either 5x5 or 5x6 and all rooms are sperated by proper doors or doorways

Sorry for your trouble friend. If it isn’t room size - there are a few bugs that can cause an underground space to be considered outdoors if the wall is up against the back of a slope or the roof is against the bottom of one.

What door type did you use to separate the rooms? Doors stop airflow but doorways do not.

Beyond that, there could be a gap somewhere that’s letting air in.

Mind posting a few screenshots or sending the save to support [AT] noblefates.com?

We’ll get you sorted.

Doorways are what I had on the interior rooms and outside walls had regular doors. I swapped them out for doors and it reverted back to indoors. By that time the people were all riled up from food shortages and rainy weather that they started picking fights and wanting to leave. So I've decided to start from scratch with a new map and hopefully less excitable peons and plan it out a bit more carefully.

Cool - we plan to expand both the max indoor space from doorways and max room size. Thanks for hanging in there!
