Hello guys. I am a big fan of volleyball. Can I help you guys with the development of this game somehow? I have no intentions to make money but to cooperate to improve this game that seems to be promising. I do some 3D work. I could help with some art and scenes.

I downloaded the demo yesterday and I am very impressed, i've been looking for some good vb games for a while and considering the lack of big sports based game companies not creating one like EA or 2K, this market does provide very well, this game is no exception either, i really like it even in this state. Most of the time, i find i can hit the ball well, its fairly responsive but obviously sometimes with the odd bug in it every now and then, mostly with the quick attacks, and i can hit with varying levels of power depending on timing, which i think is something that can be expanded upon a bit more, such as maybe adding a spike power meter somewhere like where the scoreboard is when it changes to say 'super spike' having a power meter i think gives people a more detailed view on their spikes and how to improve them, how it will visually look i dont mind too much, it could be a speed in mph or kph like i've seen in other games, or maybe a coloured bar gauge, but i think it'd be a great addition.

Along with the spike speed meter, i'd also love to see a jump height meter, to once again give a reference of how good a spike was and how it can be improved, how this could be implemented with the changes in camera angles i'm not sure, but it would be great to have detailed info about a spike and see where to improve on it

I also know that character and player customization is coming with a later (probably full) release, and im excited to see how that looks, obviously with visual customization in facial hair, haircuts and skin colour etc, that will allow for great diversity. But i wonder how far it could be taken, i'd love to see some physical customization such as varying height ranges depending on a players position (for example on a scale of 100, spikers could be a range of 30-80, setters a range of 0-60, and middle blockers a range of 50-100, but this can obviously be converted into units of measurement), and different body types would be great to see if thats not been considered already. I'd also love to see stat customization too, while im not sure if this is possible, it'd be good to be able to create our own players and maybe make a team or replace them on certain teams within the game for our own use. And being able to customise our stats would be a great addition, to make it fair, each position starts with different base stats, and have the same point allocation to add to a player so that we don't get players good at everything. I'd love to see this in game, i think it would allow for great choices and replayability for the user.

I'd also love to see rotations for matches, volleyball obviously has rotations based on certain variables like a point being scored, and to make it a more realistic experience, id love to see this in game so that it gives a more accurate view on the game.

And also for matches, adding in more teams would obviously be a great addition, meaning you can face a different opponent each time on a certain difficulty, or if being able to choose what team you play against would also be a great thing to add, and each time is rated with maybe stars based on how difficult they are to beat, it'll add a great experience being able to choose from different teams and play against more unique ones.

For my second to last piece of feedback, i'd love to see a wider range of where to spike the ball, the options we have right now are great for a 4v4 setting, but there could be a few more even for 4v4, like i wanna be able to hit an even sharper cross shot or a line shot and get 'SUPER SPIKE' pop up from it, just different areas to hit the ball would be a great thing to add

And finally, this follows on from my last point, to accomodate a wider spiking range, i'd love to see a 6v6 mode be added in for a proper volleyball experience, this fits a wider spike range well as i could aim for all areas of the court and have someone there to receive it, adding some challenge, also just generally increasing the tension of the game overall, even if i just spike to the same point in a certain area, it would be great to have that.

And that concludes my feedback on the game, it has serious potential to go big and i already enjoy it way before even early access and full release, there's great things about the game already and there's so much more to be added, can't wait to see how things go in the future, great job on the game devs!

Great to hear back on my suggestions, all explanations i fully understand, maybe i could suggest 1 thing to help with more spiking options that i didn't mention previously

Maybe just for a bit more variation, adding line shots into the game could be made to work by adding a sideways roll receive (sorta like a rolling thunder if you have watched haikyuu), this could be binded for controller by having it be the receive button + down (or up) on the control stick, the sprite does a rolling animation and gets it up so the set can be done, then automatically goes back to default position. For adding a line shot, the bind on controller could be the spike button + down on the control stick, as that has yet to receive a proper binding (unless im mistaken)

I think it could be a great addition for later releasing in a few months, i hope to hear whether it can be added into the game as i think it shouldnt be impossible

We already thought of this kind of plays. The thing is for the defenser, it's hard to see if it's a line or cross attack so it would be really hard to defend it with the proper button.
Moreover, it's already hard to defend because spiker can :
- short dump
- dump
- long dump
- short spike (super spike)
- spike
- long spike (which can goes IN with the proper timing)

Adding more difficulty for the defenser would break the gameplay flow/fun.

Hey I really enjoy this game

1. I did see that someone already said something about effects on a super spike and it would be a really cool touch to the game. In the game, The Spike, they also do a short slomo effect when it happens. It gives the highlight some emph! Like hard hitting. That would really signify the play if it was added.

2. When the cpu super spikes, it is hard to receive. Since the blocking is a guessing game, sometimes the cpu super spikes and then the receiver becomes a guessing game to. If I'm just not fast enough then I understand but it does seem a little unfair to also have the receiver as a guesser. I don't exactly know a solution to this besides giving the receiver a super speed dive so that you still have a chance to respond in time unless I'm just slow.

1. Do you mean the slowmo when the ball hit the floor ?

2. It's on purpose :
- It's a guessing game because you failed the block
- the block is a guessing game because they're doing fast sets
- they're doing fast sets because they received well
- they received well because you made an easy serve
We reallly try to approach the game like IRL volleyball where rallyes are rare :) ♥

im wondering if yall are doing more spike options like line shots or cross or deep line just incase i get blocked bc so far in the game its always a cross hit and i always get blocked but i enjoy this game alot and i cant wait for the full release i believe in yall!!

We talked about it but line shot can't work with the game. The deep shots are already an option even if you need to press early to put it in.

hey! this game looks amazing and is very promising to be one of the best volleyball games. i love how its approachable to new people with easy modes and controls but still challenges those who know the sport very well such as the harder modes which cause you to think about how to play defense, how to get the opposing blocker to commit with another hitter. , hitting high hands, etc.
As for recommendations i do have a couple. First, it would be awesome to have some sort of give away on the tip rather then the swing being the same. also if 6v6 was a thing that would be sick. other then that it would be cool to be able to make the match longer such as an option for a 25 point game.
Love the game so far and im glad to see it slowly grow.

I LOVE this as well, thank you for finally making it realistic. the game sense is really similar to real life. i love how the middle can run back ones or how the hitters run tempo balls. it would be nice to be able to change the play on the fly tho

"Give away" you mean a different animation ?

6v6 not for this game but maybe for Spikair Volleyball 2 ;)

You can already play to 25 in FINAL mode :)
