You get three trinkets to choose from, but only one can be picked each time.

Perhaps you could look into a crash when casting a wand with the Wondrous resin trinket (+3)?
I'm seeing this in both Android and Steam where I cast a wand as a Warlock at a mimic while wearing the resin trinket, and sometimes when it procs then a popup with abort, retry and continue appears but any option closes the game.

That's intended actually! It's a joke that makes reference to a legendarily unhelpful error message from MS-DOS: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Abort,_Retry,_Fail%3F

The game actually just closes itself after saving.

Shattered is currently available on the App Store, do you mean the original Pixel Dungeon?

I'm afraid I don't know exactly why, but Pixel Dungeon's original developer (Watabou) hasn't updated the game in some time. Google has started de-listing apps that haven't been updated in a while, it's possible Apple is doing the same.
