A bestiary sounds amazing and a feature i'd love to see! Would be really cool to unlock meta details on the creatures as you encounter and kill them in playthroughs. I do feel there is some info the game doesnt tell you that i wish it did, as constantly referring to wiki is a bit annoying. a particular example is the damage done by the chalice of blood. im not sure if there is any way to communicate to the player roughly how much it does without exact amounts, for example a specific warning could show when you attempt to use and the amount of damage exceeds your health minus any armor. i don't expect most people use high levels in a deep run unless they know exactly the amount of damage it does and their chances of death. anyway, love the game lol.
Aaaand, 8 hours later I've done it! Thank you for the update!
Glad to hear that you're enjoying the update!
I do want to be a bit wary of over-sharing things like enemy stats. I don't want players to feel compelled to go to the wiki of course, but I also don't want to just put a bunch of wiki-style info in the game itself. A bestiary the player can fill in more and more over time as a form of meta-progression is definitely something I'd like to do though.
I think it would be more interesting gameplay wise than the cleric.
Other than that thank you for creating this masterpiece and continue updating.
Either have them behave like keys and lore entries, or have an equipment slot for them?
The inventory already felt cramped before until I bought both a scroll case and bandolier, having to sacrifice another slot for something that in most cases just adds more danger feels like a waste.
Glad to hear that you're enjoying the game! Alternate levels are something I would like to do, but they take up a huge amount of time and effort, and unfortunately there's only one of me. I do plan to keep adding more detailed quest areas in the future though, like the recently added new areas for the blacksmith.
