I know what you mean. Part of me wants to start playing again for the other girls, who are solid characters in their own right who I would genuinely like to know more about. But my soul insists the correct way to play this game is to choose Cece every single time.
I understand the both of you and have had this feeling too. To give you some piece of mind, choosing other girls doesn't have any real effect on Cece's outcome. Some of the dialog changes, obviously, but nearly everything else stays the same. You can still be a special friend to her and be there for her while pursuing a different girl. She's very cool about it. As someone like Cece should be.
I suspected this might be the case, but thank you for the confirmation. Not giving Cece all the love all the time is a tall ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ order, but this'll make it an easier choice.
There's an old instrumental track called "Living", that Moby made back in the '90s. It starts out in an almost lazy, dreamy way, gradually picking up until it's become this really joyous vibrant thing and then, right in the midst of the crescendo, it abruptly ends. No warning, just a couple notes faltering into nothing and that's all there is. I just finished my first playthrough and now am listening to the song while this whole Cece montage plays itself out in my head.
I hate what the dev had to go through to bring us this, but what a beautiful thing he's made of it.
I know that. The other girl that I like pretty much is Holly. But from I red, to reach Holly you must be first with Lexi. And now I feel double ♥♥♥♥♥♥ - for not be with Cece and cheating on Lexi.
I will just add my 2 cents, and hope the author reads this: Please please let Cece beat her mental issues in chapter 8 and have the happiness she truly deserves, and live happily ever after with my MC, having a lot of kids. That would be the most satisfying ending for me. <3
not every story is a fairy tale....not even in the gameworld.
True. the dev is already making use of suspension of disbelieve a lot by letting Cece survive the fall into the water. I know it's possible and people have survived it in real life, but the chances are extremely slim to near impossible.
I don't know the statistics, but I believe it's also near impossible to beat mental issues like hers. Most people in reality can't go beyond learning to live with it by talking to shrinks and/or medication for a very long time to maybe their entire lives.
Of course I hope she will live a a long and happy life like Hotwire says and imo (looking at what dev did on the bridge and also said "this is just a game") I think it will happen (except for maybe a lot of kids). It would imo be better and more realistic storytelling though that yes she mostly will have a happy life with no more suicide attempts, but that she will keep the mental issues in some capacity.
I think so too.
But yeah, I cried like a 6 foot 4 inch baby, so huge congrats to Drifty.
On a personal note this was very close to home, and much like all of you I would like to see Cece prosper. Her demise would completely ruin this masterpiece, I would rather relive tears of joy than tears of sorrow.
It was such a masterpiece in storytelling along with the music. I shed quite a few tears as it hit really close to home.
